Or worse, waited too long to sell their house after buying a new house at the peak. My daughter and her husband wouldn't listen to me. Mostly his fault because he wanted a perfect home and I told him a year ago that the one house I thought was great and nearly $200k cheaper was good enough that he could have someone come in and do whatever he needed to make it "perfect". Then, they would have sold their home for more than their newer house.

 

Wait until they get their tax bill….
