The roster is talked about in a couple threads, but no exact info. So, if you have any roster data like scholarship count, depth charts, etc. , please post it here. The best data I have is a depth chart from ourlads. It's good, but not complete: 2023 Florida Gators Football Depth Chart | Ourlads.com
Been tracking this closely for years - it's a geeky hobby of mine. Anyways, we're at 82 as of today. Seniors: 6 Jr's: 25 Sophomore's: 18 Freshmen: 12 *Sophomore and Freshmen class will depend of who officially redshirted. Incoming Freshmen: 21 Too early for a real depth chart at this point, but we'll know more after spring practices. The starters on Our Lads is a good prediction, but some of the 2nd string are just guesses at this point. It's a good starting point...
Good stuff, thanks... I'm geeky that way, too. Really liking the Spring roster. Having in and around 77 of the 82 scholarship players available for spring is amazing. With walk-ons I read UF will have 105 players available. I remember when there wasn't a spring game because there weren't enough players for two squads. SOS also played some 9-man football in the spring with 3-OL and 2-DL because of a lack of numbers. Should be a very productive spring.
I've been doing the same for years on Excel and I can't seem to stop even though my interest in college football has waned. My numbers are close to the same with 82 as well. I have us with 20 Soph and 10 Frosh. I assume I haven't updated who got redshirted as a freshman lately but usually that will work it's way out when the fall roster comes out. One thing I try not to include are players that get added to the scholarship list who were walkons because they usually are year to year. I certainly support the moves but it can make these numbers difficult to track.
I've got 83 with Mihalek getting a ship. I've only got 5 seniors.... Pearsall, Teradja Mitchell, Zipp, Zanders, and Perkins. Who am I missing as the 6th senior?
Didn't see Mihalek get a 'ship - good catch. Yes, that would be 83. So we have 2 FG kickers on 'ship, with Smack? The 6th senior is Cam Carroll.
Over time, I've started to see the game more as a "General Manager" than a fan or former player....so I NEED this scholarship breakdown. lol.
Cool... If you can post it that would be great. I know posting Excel on a message board is tricky, but if you can manage it please do. I could reformat it into Google Sheets so everyone can read it.
On the ourlads depth chart, they got it from Nick Marcinko here at GatorCountry.... They footnoted it! Well done @nickmarcinko! Nick Marcinko | GatorCountry.com
Kickers often alternate the scholarship. One takes fall then goes to walk on and walk on goes to full ride the next semester.
85 limit will inhibit that. Of course some of those juniors will leave early which will help spread things out
There's always attrition. The thinking use to be you can always count on 10 departures every year. Now with the portal I think that number is now in and around 15. Doing the math (6-SRs & 15-attrition) we're looking at a much smaller over all class in 2024.
I saw that Bill Connelly from ESPN released his returning production ranker. We sit @ #107. Only Bama behind us in the SEC @ #125. Lots of youth & inexperience on the roster. I’m thinking 21 seems about right for the next class.
5-6 seniors will make for the smallest signing class ever. Could have the highest percentage ever drafted. 5/6. Nice!
