Feb. 7th - National Signing Day

After spring additions are guys that didn’t make it where they were for the most part. We won’t beat Bama and Georgia with guys that couldn’t make their two deep. Most of the guys transferring upward that can help us have already done so. We have the roster that we will depend on next year already. It would be very fortunate to acquire a player or two that will make an impact next year. Cross our fingers I guess.

 

Totally agree. IMO the roster is pretty much now set.

I hear the barners at Auburn are still looking for a QB. Good luck with that.

 

You are correct, especially with "for the most part". But a Ricky Pearsall does pop up here and there.

 

Or they are guys who stuck around through spring to give their new coaching staff a chance amd ultimately decided to transfer. Also we've had some good players transfer after spring, Antwan Ryland-powell is one that comes to mind that did well at VA tech after going through spring ball with us.

This is a list of players in last year's spring portal. There are a ton of players that were available, it seems like FSU got half their team from the spring portal including Keon Coleman.

The list just keeps going, there was a ton of talent that was in the spring portal last year. Including several QB's that were starters this year on their new team like DJ Ugemeia(sp,?) Jack plummer, brennon Armstrong, S. Hartman,Payton Thorpe, etc. A few OL but much like the first portal window, Good OL are much more sparse in the portal than some other positions.[/FONT]

 

There may be a number of players transferring to double their paycheck.

 

Qbs make sense in spring because they have qb battles. Oline battle for two deep all year. Qb,s tgat don’t win starting jobs should be available.

 

If kids are not in the 2 deep they can transfer. If your coach left like Harbaugh or Kelly mid semester you could transfer, a Bill O’Brien may be recruiting kids to BC. Grad transfers in the Spring. You know Lincoln Riley is going to have his cronies approaching starters on other teams to transfer after Spring.
