It was down to 15 percent of adults who weren’t vaccinated already in late 2021, and 75 percent of those who chose not to get vaccinated were under 50. So many of them probably assumed the risk for them from the disease was not worth the unknown vaccine.
Yes there are those that regret getting the vaccine, but they are overwhelmingly Republican. 90 percent of Dems were glad they got it, 67 percent of independents were, and only 36 percent of republicans.

The point being, the population of strident anti vaxers is far smaller what is portrayed, and it is clearly political. Which is remarkably sad.

What “proven” treatments are you referring to back when ivermectin was being demonized as horse paste? Could you possibly be referring to Fauci’s ventillators????

Some people have illnesses that compromise their immune system that require them to mask up in public well before Covid was even a thing, as any slight exposure to any type of disease or bug could put their health at serious risk. Ignorant that many don’t understand that and are offended by someone wearing one.

Eventually vaccines, not as a treatment but as a preventative. Generally the people harping on ivermectin are also anti vax. I recall early on there was some discussion re ivermectin, but it hadn’t really taken off as a panacea in the anti vax community yet.

After a few months here were some things that had some efficacy in the later stages, such as a particular type of steroid.

I just don’t understand why people are still butt hurt about ivermectin when it was demonstrated not to work, unless you are part of the anti vax / Fauci / big pharma conspiracy mind set, and if so you live in a different reality than I do and conversation is pointless.

It is moronic to assume someone intentionally gets Covid. People were going to get Covid. My parents did not seek Covid. They happened to get it. At which point they had superior immunity.

Don’t be a fool and think people actually tried to get Covid (there were a few stories of some doing it but those are outlier stories). People understood the disease was not dangerous to healthy people and knew their body would be fine if they did end up getting it. And science showed us that natural immunity was superior to the shot. So it was the antithesis of science to force someone with natural immunity to take a shot knowing they already had superior protection. If you wanted to take the shot and cause more unnecessary inflammation. By all means. But natural immunity provided superior protection.

And know what science says is superior to Natural Immunity? Hybrid immunity. And can't get hybrid immunity without being jabbed.

Also brings with it more inflammation than the vaccine. For those who feel that avoiding inflammation is important.

If you want an unnecessary shot. Go for it. But it was the antithesis of science and medicine to push these shots on an entire population when there was little to no risk for most.

Also did nothing to slow the spread and keep people from getting Covid.

But did prevent many hospitalizations and deaths. And science clearly shows those with hybrid immunity had lower rates of serious cases. Why you think this is insignificant is beyond me. Again, either an agenda, idiocy, or a combination of both.

Heart Problems After COVID? Yes, It’s Possible

Researchers are still learning how many people with COVID-19 experience myocardial injury. Estimates range from 7% to 40%. Myocardial injury is more common among people who need care in the intensive care unit (ICU). If you have heart damage, you face a higher risk of complications as your body tries to fight off the virus.

Inflammation from COVID-19 leads to heart damage
Research suggests inflammation leads to COVID heart damage. When you first get the infection, your body activates your immune system. This leads to the production of inflammatory cells and cytokines. Cytokinesare small proteins that activate your immune response. This process of inflammation is necessary and helpful to your body.

But COVID-19 causes too much inflammation in some people. This condition is called cytokine release syndrome (or “cytokine storm”). It often happens in severe COVID-19 cases. Excessive inflammation can harm your cardiovascular system in many different ways, including:

    • Arrhythmia. Inflammation can alter your heart’s electrical signals. As a result, your heart can lose its normal rhythm. If you already have arrhythmia, a cytokine storm can make it worse.
    • Blood clots. When inflammation affects the lining of your blood vessels (the endothelium), you face a greater risk of blood clots, heart attack or stroke.
    • Myocarditis. This is an inflammation of your heart muscle. People with COVID-19 face a higher risk of myocarditis compared with those who aren’t sick.
    • Pericarditis. This is inflammation in the membrane around your heart. It can cause chest pain and fluid buildup around your heart.
    • Heart failure. This is a condition where excess fluid and swelling (edema) can build up in your lungs and your body.

A lot of lives could have been saved if high dose methylprednisolone had been used for extended periods to treat lung inflammation instead of dexamethasone

Seems just a reflection of the problem it is for the average person. This doctor says this, that doctor says that. One study says this, one says that. You can't know ...
So I just go with what looks like the consensus and most established sources.

this subject, of course, is complicated by political partisanship.

It actually is pretty much describing aches and pains. Muscle soreness. “Inflammatory musculoskeletal disorders” sounds pretty scary, right? But it’s describing soreness. Pretty stupid if it’s including incidents of soreness in the week after vaccination. It mentions plantar fasciitis which is the arch of the foot and pretty common inflammation to runners and basketball players. As this is not the site of injection, might be interesting if it linked to plantar fasciitis issues months or years out. But i doubt that very much.

It should also be pointed out this is a pre-print using South Korean data (not a vetted study, yet), and South Korea used mostly the AstraZeneca vaccine. So probably not all that relevant here anyway, considering AstraZeneca’s vaccine was never approved in the U.S.
