FDA Approves Breakthrough Therapy for LSD

My extent of drug use is pot maybe a half dozen times around high school. In one instance I didn’t like it as I felt like I had lost control. With alcohol I always felt like I was more powerful and in control, even though I clearly wasnt.

There was one time a group of us had pot and it was a great experience.

I wouldn’t be against trying it again, but it would have to be away from my daughter in recovery. I’d be scared of other hallucinogens unless it was in a very controlled setting and I was very confident in the person dosing it and the quality of the stuff.

 

A football player friend of mine in high school did this (micro-dosed) every day in his senior year... he later graduated went to college and became a professor of astronomy in a near by university, not in Gainesville.

 

As a teenager, had many great trips, and then a really bad one, which made me stop completely.

Basically had a panic attack on it, thinking I’d be locked up in a padded cell for the rest of my life.

Ironically it morphed into an anxiety disorder.

Was my fault though, my friends and I picked way too many shrooms.

As for LSD, was pretty intense for me, and never did again after the bad shroom trip.

 

I've only ever had a bad trip on shrooms (in the red light district of Amsterdam - wild story for another time). I've taken LSD countless times and it always makes me feel 10 feet tall and bullet proof. Such a wonderful drug every time I've taken it.

 

I have mild GAD ... maybe I need to try some LSD. Might need to read more on this.

 

Great, now I’m jonesing for a purple microdot. I can get shrooms but don’t have any sources for LSD. May have to go to Jamaica. Apparently they sell chocolate bars infused with a hefty dose of LSD. Take it back to Sandals and trip out. Sounds fantastic.

Helped my son tremendously. It isn't very affordable to everyone, but I can contest to it's effectiveness.

 

It used to be the drug of choice for chemically restraining large mammals - didn’t know at the time I was easing their anxiety as well.

 

I'm sure the dosage etc is much different, but it is used for surgery on animals.

We used ketamine for pediatric procedural sedation in the ER for years. Really need to overdose them to stop breathing but I’m sure it does happen. Same with any med for that indication, versed, propofol, etomidate etc.
