    You are most definitely confusing assimilating with assassinating...

    Puns aside, YOU LOSE CREDIBILITY when you flame throw block insults to everyone that you politically disagree with.

    I'll even twist things up even more for you. I don't think non-American citizens should have anymore than basic human rights... and I certainly do not think they deserve our Constitutional rights... for Americans.

    I also, don't think non-American should ever be allowed to buy or even posses firearms, not that his is the case with this person. I have no idea what his legal status here is.

    I'm not "flame thowing" anyone, but I am having a hard time understanding why the "self defense" and "good guys with guns" logic you guys use doesn't extend to immigrants ... anyway, shooting a bunch of strangers with an AR 15 is one of those "only in America" kind of things. Like apple pie and baseball ... someday well change that saying to be "As American as apple pie and blasting suckers at a baseball game with my assault weapon."

    You would be amazed at how many law abiding Democrats legally posses firearms of all types here in the U.S.A..

    Not sure how you'd define basic human rights though. Should the rights recognized by the 1st Amendment (such as the free exercise of religion) be discarded for people who are here legally but not U.S. citizens? As another example, should police and FBI be able to ignore 4th and 5th Amendment protections in their interactions with permanent residents who aren't citizens?

    Name one country that affords American citizens our Constitutional rights when we visit their country?

    No foreigner here in our country should get our Constitutional rights until we get them outside the U.S.A. in their foreign country.

    But basic human rights should apply to all people's in every country.

    Why would you expect another country to honor the US constitution for US tourists? Do you think visitors from other countries should have the benefit of their home country's laws when they visit the US?

    The question is are you subject to the same laws as their citizens, for the most part, when you visit another country.

    To play this out hypothetically: how does that even get enforced? Do we make them register and wear some kind of bling so we can distinguish between actual Americans with rights and these other people with fewer or no rights? Maybe a large yellow letter they have to wear. Imagine the bureaucracy that would be needed to make that happen plus the $$$$$$.

    LEGAL residents of the US should be afforded US constitutional rights, except perhaps the most important constitution right, the right to vote.

    I do NOT expect foreign countries to honor our citizens in their country our Constitutional rights. NOR should foreigners in the U.S.A. expect our Constitutional rights when they visit us.

    Easy answer.

    No country affords any of us our citizenship rights abroad.

    Just like we don’t for others when they’re here.

    And as to denying them those rights I’d suggest you might read the 14th amendment.

    “No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.”

    It doesn’t say citizen, it says person (which includes illegal aliens, who are subject to deportation.
