But you made the point. There are hard liners on each side. Future mom tells us that there are far more on the pub side.
Why not correct her in her own post?

I also went by their voting records. Rubio has jumped on the trumpy bandwagon so many times, even though you don't hear crazy stuff out of his mouth. He has turned from fairly moderate to never moderate. He voted against the veterans bill.
Cruz did a 180 after the election and has been yelling into a microphone at maga gatherings. Any of them that has not spoken out about Viktor Orban going to CPAC and not opposing the big lie, are either in the radical spectrum or a poster boy for it.

I didn't put Lindsey Graham on the list, he's been quiet lately as far as feeding the base. He's been arguing policy, and not yelling into microphones.

My list was for radical people. Radicals will make sure they are media darlings, constantly with a microphone in their face and as a result working to influence the public, and get those to vote for them. They have the biggest mouths.

I agree with you, it probably is not just a joke but actually true. But still makes a fun pun. ;)

We’ll then. You get to define what a radical is. I see.
I would argue that libbies by definition are the loudest, always have been. Cons don’t want to rock the boat. So one might say all of the progressives are super duper radical. Especially given that they have pushed green energy billions bill that will not affect climate in any way. That is pure radical and pure dumb-assery.

I haven’t thought through how procedurally it gets there, but if this is truly about records I hope it finds its way to somehow leading to a forfeiture or in rem action.

Primarily because the case names in those are great and I want law students to be taught about the case of United States v. Approximately Fifteen Boxes of Alleged Presidential Records.

Ok, so I'll be more clear since you're not seeing what most of America sees. Extreme views like wanting to take the outcome of an election out of our hands and into Maga, by electing people who would change each swing state's process so trumpy electors can change an outcome they don't like. Taking away rights like a woman's ability to take care of their own reproductive health.

The things DeSantis has done in this state is nothing short of government overreach if not downright authoritarianism. You do realize that the radical right doesn't want democracy, they want authoritarianism. Does the left have some pie in the sky ideas as far as climate change, or socialist programs? Yeah. But a watered down version of what they want may just work, but the "conservatives" don't want to allow them a victory by negotiating, even if it is a victory for the people. We have a major issue with climate change, and if anyone doesn't think so, we're in deep doo doo.

I would agree that in the past, conservatives were not looking for a spotlight like they are today. The movement they are part of now is yelling and screaming and repeating the same lies until the little people they need for now believe it, hook line and sinker. Interesting MO.

EDITED TO ADD: Let's just take Rubio off the list. It's still shows more radical righties than lefties. They range in level of radical according to why they are, but they are all a concern.

He is. He isn't yelling a screaming it, but he is quietly doing trump's bidding so the big bad orange man doesn't start calling him "Little Marco" again. Yelling and screaming angrily to a group or into a microphone isn't the only litmus test.

Ok, you made a couple decent points. But maybe I’m naive, I just don’t believe many folks think the election was stolen.
What you see on the right as a threat, I see equally damaging from the left. It’s why I wish we could get a mitt Romney in play.

One side is inept at processing their agenda with a goal of having more socialist programs and the other is methodically getting their agenda of doing away with our way of life done. I'm more concerned with the latter and I hope most Americans see it as well.

Would love for Mitt Romney to become relevant again. He is one of the normal ones. Liz Cheney is a good traditional conservative, as is Adam Kinzinger (not running again :(). I love balance, but the way things are right now, it's disturbing to me.

Roughly 70% of Republicans think the election was stolen. Consistent across multiple polls.

Pence is just appeasing the base. Pence knows better than most that Trump is a lying, corrupt mob boss.

According to public sourcing, Apparently it is 12 boxes. Not the 15 he returned. And, Trump controls the information about what the warrant authorized to be searched and the implicated statute. He has not released that, instead relying on his supporters’ outrage. His lawyer acknowledged that the seizure was under the public records law. Trump also controls information about what was in the boxes. Public sourcing reports that Trump refused to give the boxes back and was told to keep them in a padlocked room and that the padlock was broken and these boxes were what was seized. If declassified, he could easily just describe them. Eric claimed on TV that it was memorabilia, like a letter from Kim Jung Un. We don’t know. And, of course, the government might not say. Forfeiture May be a good remedy. We don’t know enough to say or if any of the reporting is right.

Romney-esque candidates are losing everywhere. There is a new thread on it this morning.
