Why is this turning into a whataboutism? But yes, that too was inexcusable and reprehensible.

Classified documents are numbered and tracked. If the docs were missing and trump was the last one in possession, it is reasonable to assume he still might have it in his possession. They may know he previously had possession by eyewitness testimony. They do not know, however, if he still has possession unless they look.

We don't know, however, if this search warrant was to reclaim unlawfully held docs. We don't know what the FBI was looking for or whether the found it.

    Step away from the ledge.

It's all assumptions until the DOJ says what they got and why they did it. BUT, it better be more than archives. They will have given trump a huge boost as most people don't see this as worthy of having the FBI show up while he's not even there.

Hey, ETGator1-- An emoji is a limited form of communication. Use words.

Why was a legally conducted search "wrong?"

Unless the KGB recently started implementing warrants signed by judges, how are they similar to the FBI?

Why not save that gas money and send him the money instead? And more money if you have it. He's already fundraising off of this. (Surprise, surprise.)

No, you don't send the FBI in while the President isn't there. It's a terrible look. Can't fathom people can't figure this out.

I wondered that as well. Is it just cheaper to keep them in place than to have them travel, or is this just another money grab?

The president? LOL. Ok. You'd rather they go in while he's there for a potential stand off? Announce it first so he can have a bonfire? They handled it perfectly.

LOL. Yeah, let's see how this plays out in the next few months. Let's see who looks bad and looks good. I hope trump is indicted but this was extremely dumb politically. The far left can't grasp that.

The President is in the White House currently giving a speech on NATO expansion. We are discussing the former President. And you suggested that the archives send somebody to retain the documents, which they did, and if they were unable, threaten to get the DOJ involved, which they did in referring the case after they were unable to retain all records. Now, you are shifting the goalposts. The ex-President needs to be there before DOJ/FBI action? He had almost 7 months to comply. How long should they give him, in your opinion?

You hope he's indicted, but don't think the normal evidence gathering tools of the FBI should used? Mmmm-Kay.

I mean, if the Republicans want to make the midterms all about how unfair Donald Trump has been treated, that's pretty much a Democratic strategist's wet dream.

It is way better to have them go when he is elsewhere. Unless you want a media circus to fundraise off of..
