We need to come up with a better title than Special Master. That sounds like something from a children's book about a magical far away land.

If trump is really filing this himself, it’s because his crazy was a bridge too far even for lawyers getting paid hundreds of dollars an hour or more. They don’t want to lose their licensees over a frivolous lawsuit like that genius Giuliani did.

You correct this will end with nothing happening to our Former Great President, because this was all bullshit like the Impeachment crap.
I think things will improve when the Republicans regain control and they need to go after the wacko left and treat them with the same respect as they showed President Trump

i can explain this. He filed an original action in Fort Pierce instead of filing a motion in the action where the warrant was pending. He is trying to Judge shop. No federal judge is going to enjoin another federal judge. Utterly improper and no lawyer would sign his or her name to that. The case is going to end up being transferred to West Palm Beach to Magistrate Reinhardt anyway. Then lawyers will appear. Trump will not want to argue this himself. He can’t take the Fifth.

It might not have taken so long if they had stayed out of Melania's panty drawer.

    How about this?
18 U.S. Code § 1924 - Unauthorized removal and retention of classified documents or material
    (a) Whoever, being an officer, employee, contractor, or consultant of the United States, and, by virtue of his office, employment, position, or contract, becomes possessed of documents or materials containing classified information of the United States, knowingly removes such documents or materials without authority and with the intent to retain such documents or materials at an unauthorized location shall be fined under this title or imprisoned for not more than five years, or both.

And no he didn't properly declassify the documents in his possession.

    And interestingly.
Trump signed law making mishandling of classified info a felony — now it may come back to haunt him

But since he declassified the documents, can’t possibly be charged with mishandling of classified documents…or at least that’s what I assume was the Fox News messaging. I was busy watching House if Dragon so missed out on last nights sound bites.

I think before Trump left office he secretly pardoned himself of all future crimes so this is all a bunch of fake news.

Do you have any idea what it takes to properly collect, catalogue, secure for transportation and document chain of custody for all those files? They were also taking photos to document the location each of each piece of evidence. It would have taken a couple of weeks for two people to do that and they wouldn't have the expertise required to perform all those tasks.

It was a crime scene that possibly spanned tens of thousands of square feet. The two guys you would have sent would still be there, probably checking out the ladies' locker rooms.

Trump was in possession of 300 classified items from the CIA (HUMINT), NSA (SIGINT) and FBI (CI cases likely ongoing).

Well there were 30 agents there, so basic math say it would have taken 15 times longer with 2. So even at 2 hours with the 30, it would have been 4 7.5 hour days with 2:

NYT reporting tonight that before the first tranche of documents was given back to the government, Trump went though the boxes and decided what to give back. 150 returned were classified. Trump then kept classified and top secret compartmentalized documents. The docs he kept were then recovered by the Warrant. If that is an accurate report, that would be enough to establish specific intent. The lawyers who gave affidavits will now have to explain the source of the information in those affidavits.

Pretty safe bet that if any of us mere mortals had that volume of classified documents in our home, we would ALREADY be behind bars. Instead he gets to whine, play the victim card, and skate. In addition to the classification issue there is the matter of things that do not belong to him, they belong to the government.

collecting doesnt take long at all, catalogue..just write in a ledger what the document is, secure for transportation...tape up the box and put in a lock box...these dont take that long.
