This is Trump we are talking about. My guess is he took items he could get his hands on with future plans to blackmail or use as leverage against people.

A poster above referenced Obama’s “Chicago warehouse”. That was for his Presidential library! They literally had military members moving pallets of materials for archiving. Frankly we don’t know what these Trump docs were (maybe we never will), but it’s interesting the feds had a search warrant for his safe. Maybe that is standard practice in a document search just to cover all bases. I suspect they knew what documents they were looking for, and the safe may have been seen as a possible place for them. *If* they recovered classified materials from a Mar-A-Lago safe, when Trump denied that he took classified documents, that tells me there was likely a nefarious purpose.

 

The only fascism that will come will be from Democrats, specifically the far left.

Who was it that forced draconian lockdowns during the pandemic: Democrats
Who is it that want to change free speech and gun laws: Democrats
Who was it that was more than willing to make non-vaccinated Americans essentially second class citizens who would barely be able to leave their house: Democrats

The only question really is will Democrats leads up to fascism or full out communism.

 

If they acted. Regardless, all of the planning of this was a conspiracy to commit a crime at least partially orchestrated by someone who pledged to uphold the Constitution and faithfully execute the laws of this country.

I don’t know if I “support today’s actions” or not. They should be based upon the facts and the law. But you seem ready for war despite the fact that we haven’t even seen any of the relevant legal documents and don’t know the potential bases for the search warrant. I am not going to chant that Trump should be locked up even though I thought it was disgusting when he did it.

 

This opinion is EXACTLY why the founders were right and why every state even should have 2 Senators, even if that state has only 2 people. Everyone should be represented and the rural interests of the countries shouldn't be shut out by the cities simply because of population. The House of Representatives is where the cities get far more representation than the rural areas. The Senate was meant as a check on that.

DC, New York, LA, San Francisco, Chicago, Atlanta, Houston, Dallas and Miami should not be making policy for the entire U.S.
