FAU's Dusty May to coach Michigan, agrees to 5-year contract

He may do great there, or he may have hit lighting in a bottle with one group of kids at FAU and is cashing in on it.
Guess we will see.

 

Hate to see him leave Florida Atlantic University????? Err Have you been to FAU??? and make several millions more??????????? Congats to him and the Mike White legacy!

 

If he turns Michigan around, Indiana is going to be sick to their stomachs that they didn't fire Woody this year.

 

Wise to move, probably would have moved on last year if they hadn't gotten to the final 4.

All these coaches are looking to the next step up.

 

I spent 4+ years at Florida pursuing a degree. My dad had a heart attack and i needed to transfer to FAU. Florida by heart and FAU by degree. Played some serious intramural BBall there. Did things I shouldn't have been able to do. Lots of fun.

Still have rooted on FAU Football fans to do an orange and blue but instead do a Whooo and Whooo, and Whoo and Whoo then the chant gets faster and faster, and faster and faster!!!! Would instantly be the best chant in Football history.

 

Good luck to Dusty! I think he'll do well there and next season will be a breath of fresh air after the Juwan debacle.

Interesting. I would take Vlad Goldin in a nanosecond. We would be a monster team. Davis is probably going pro, and I don’t know what Martin is going to do. FAU will be starting over.

 

Interesting, seems as though he really developed his coaching acumen under Mike White at UF! Then he takes over Owls and goes the final 4. Then he brings them back to the tourney so it wasn't a fluke, although they kind of sucked in their game against Northwestern. Congrats on leap-frogging your coach, Dusty!

 

Great career move for him to Michigan. A no brainer as they say, but id easily take Boca Raton over Ann Arbor as a place to live.

Ann Arbor is a pretty nice place to live in spite of the climate. Cool town.

 

Yea, could do worse, but I will take Boca and the surrounding area any day over the frozen Midwest. FAU's campus is also a stones throw from the beach.
