They were basically on the road today, playing Arizona in Vegas. Got down 17-3 I think, and found a way to win in double OT.
Kinda hard to call last years run a fluke right now.

Amazing that FAU is the best team in the state.

Perhaps. I think they would have beaten us in a close game on a neutral court a few weeks ago. But we're getting better and in a few more weeks, I think we would beat them in a close game on a neutral court. Either team could win, but FAU has been the better team so far. They're really good.

Certainly no fluke, and one of the most complete teams in the country. And a tough, competitive group with incredible chemistry. Imo, they are one of the favorites to win it all.

Ha. Definitely true last year. I think we are competitive with anyone this year though (unlike last). But clearly if they are knocking off Arizona they are still a team to be reckoned with, and can’t argue with their ranking.

What’s their deal? Did they get bunch back off last year’s team or did May actually reload? A reload keeping FAU at this level would be most impressive indeed.

Well they just knocked off Arizona. I’d say they’d surely be favored on a neutral court as of now. Of course this years Gator team is probably better than last years even at full strength with Castleton. So it would be interesting to see a rematch in the tournament.

Their entire final 4 team came back again. Good team ball and chemistry as a group

They're ranked #14. That game last night was great. Hard not to root for FAU.

They returned all 5 five starters and 8 of the 9 guys in their rotation from last year.

That was a bad loss against FGCU. They are in the 200s of NET last time I checked.

Arizona just lost to Stanford, so perhaps not a top 5 team like we thought
