So which games gets Rillos' participation? Apparently, CBN agreed with Rillos to his redshirting (4 games only) and playing all year next year. What do you think? I go with: 1. Miami 2. Georgia 3. Texas 4. FSU I thought about substituting him out for those games that we could be in 50/50 games but CBN absolutely needs to win for a successful season, such as Tennessee for Georgia and LSU for Texas. I say this because he appears to be a far and away best run blocker, and we want him on the goal line for TD in tight games.
Also everybody . . . @gatormonk and @eastowest are helping us and posting videos and Nick's Twitter/X posts so we have as much as possible from Fall Camp . . . but if I start re-posting Twitter/X posts or videos someone else already posted, please let me know so I can clean-up the thread. Thanks!
I had either forgotten or not aware of the redshift conversation but, that being the case your reasoning is good IMO.
But will CBN's be good? j/k He will know Rillos better before game day as to his strengths and weaknesses against a particular opponent. And if we lose one of the first games, if he is good, CBN plays him against Samford, MSU, UCF, and aTm.
Truthfully, I think CBN being so detail oriented has probably watched a lot of film on Rillos and after a couple of weeks of live practice will have a plan in his mind for him. IMO giving him reps against Miami is a good idea because it could help determine his participation going forward. If his contribution is significant in that game he will probably want to use him in other big matchups. Good thing is, once he makes a judgment call on how he can help us he can go week to week calling the shot. I wonder if he preforms really well or we sustain injuries at that position if the redshirt option will be taken off the table.
