Gators Set for Exhibition with Saint Leo - Florida Gators It appears there will only be live stats and no radio or television.
So, the pregame notes list the projected starters as: Deans / Rickards / Merritt / Dut / Kyle Seems a bit crazy but maybe not entirely unexpected based on what Kelly has been saying in the preseason. We'll see what happens. It would figure that with so many newcomers the lineups will evolve significantly as the season progresses.
Yeah, she hasn't done much press, but at least the SEC media day presser and the basketball preview show are on the website. Anyway, she seems to love the idea of having a wide variety of lineup options, from very big to pretty small. She took Faith (along with Nina) to SEC media day which speaks volumes and said she'd be playing more away from the basket. Seems like she is one of the leaders of the team as well, but no idea what to expect from her in terms of on court production. And similarly heard her mention Jordyn could play anywhere and has been working on her perimeter game. She was also nominated for the award for best SF which I thought was interesting.
Jordyn definitely has the most potential. Her size and skill set make her dangerous from anywhere. Dut away from the basket could make sense. She has nice outside shot and not sure she had the strength to play in the post with SEC bigs.
6'-6", 6'-4", 6'-3" in the front line. Looks like Kelly Rae is determined to go big this season. I'm good with that; the big lines in the SEC have killed us in the paint the last few years.
Live stats seem to be a hot mess to put it mildly. Per Twitter, looks like the halftime score in 57-23.
It was open to the public, crowd might be generous from the pictures they tweeted. 110-46 final. 7 in double-figures, all 11 who played scored. No Matharu, Taty Wyche or Myka Perry tonight...wonder if they're injured or ???
Fun tilt to watch, kids enjoyed it and all the able bodied kids got time on the court KK Dean isn't Kiki or Zippy but she maybe the combo with Nina that would have been Zippy
we looked more versatile on offense, like what I saw from Bruhner and Kyle..they both know how to get position and rebound properly. Also good position on defense, Faith is athletic, but not a very instinctive rebounder. But the girls looked very nice tonight.
Didn't expect two of those to play much, but Matharu we are going to need. Hope she is able to play soon.
