But you're missing the real point: No one knows what really happened on J6. It's a mystery. Now that we've established that - can we get back to book bans and supporting Russian?
Right. So we should just wait to see if it was an AI deep fake. The answer will come later. Much later.
The fact you are making light of someone sitting in jail due to someone lying about where they were and what they saw is disturbing. Time stamps on the video clearly show he could not have seen what he testified to have seen since he was nowhere near it.
And this is even coming from a self-proclaimed Biden conservative, none of these libbies care about the facts
This is where the problem is. To the left the issue is settled and time to move on. Total disregard for nearly half the population of the country that don't think the whole story has been told. But when you say that, you are conspiracy nut job cultist. To me this has nothing to do with Trump, if he was involved to the level some think then he deserves the punishment, this is about what really happened. Why are there so many videos of the capital police escorting people in and out, if this was a violent insurrection why did so much of it seem fairly calm. Was there some violence, was there some destruction of federal property, was there lines crossed by the folks, well hell yes there was. But what about this tape that time stamps shows this guy lied, why did he lie? what was he covering up? But ask the questions that the bias J6 didn't addressed, and you are a conspiracy nut job.
We all want the whole story to be told. We just need Groomer Gym Jordan to answer the subpoena that was served to him
What more is there to tell to the story? Videos of people not committing a crime doesn't negate videos of those same people committing a crime. Every person that has been charged has had the opportunity to go to trial and present a defense and yet the conviction rate is north of 99%. In this specific instance, might the officer have lied? Certainly possible and not at all a new development when it comes to law enforcement testifying historically. It could be he'll say he was mistaken about the time but what he said was still true. That being said, it should still be investigated and if he lied, he should be held accountable and the defendant should at a minimum get a new trial (I won't pretend to know enough if the testimony was that critical to the conviction or if that's the type of thing to warrant vacating the conviction). Videos of capitol police peacefully escorting protestors isn't at all proof that this was an inside job or there's any conspiracy. They were overwhelmed from a numbers standpoint and trying to de-escalate the situation. They clearly were instructed not to arrest people on site and instead let the FBI or other law enforcement sort it out afterward. The protestors should be glad that the police treated them with kid gloves and didn't respond with more force which certainly would have been justified when you watch the videos of police officers being assaulted and crushed in doorways.
McCarthy gave access to what was reported to be tens of thousands of hours of video footage to Tucker Carlson back in March of 2023. Now, we're sitting here almost a year later and videos are trickling out while purportedly innocent people have been convicted and/or incarcerated all this time? Why did McCarthy initially grant special access to Tucker? I'm not even sure how that's lawful under any public records analysis? Is there new video that's been released which didn't exist last year? If so, why did Johnson not release the additional footage sooner for all to see? Importantly, did the defense attorneys representing the J6 defendants not have access to any of these videos during the trials? If so, were they considered in the trials or not? If there is new evidence that exonerates someone, I would assume that could be a basis for a new trial. However, the timing, scale, and tone of these rolling disclosures make me think the more logical explanation is that this is an effort to keep the questions and conspiracy theories going to provide cover for Trump and provide voters with some generic plausible deniability.
