Hightop mentioned something about Princley wanted more freedom to collect stats for the NFL. So if true it's possible he didn't want to be a team player which explains a lot, and him always engaging with "fans" on social media. So basically it was about himself & not the team.
would find it plausible he didn’t want to drop into coverage so much, This definitely hurt his sack stats but was also not his skill set - nor probably the best use of our only real pass rusher.
we got one tackle and that’s it. We need starters not high school kids. Those high school kids are going to be two or three years before they are SEC ready. They might play this year but that’s not good
There is zero news about him coming to Florida. That does not mean it’s not happening but maybe you and staff are not leaking anything about anything to do with anybody. We tend to see them when they commit and that’s it.
He was apart of that unprecedented bag chasing class 2 cycles ago. He definitely produced on the field but I would be careful of taking anyone from that toxic locker room. He won’t come cheap and I’m sure the staff is cautious about creating too much imbalance on the roster.
I wasn't able to watch too many games. Have to agree dropping the best pass rusher into coverage isn't the wisest. Unless they thought the O was going to screen us to death?
i think it is just part of the defense they use with simulated pressures. Put 6 -7 into the box but just 4 of them but qb doesn’t know which players will be rushing or from where. offenses counter this by flexing out a rb or TE and when this happen- when the Edge/Jack is on that side and depending on the call, he is forced into coverages vs rushing the qb. Happens a ton- both under Toney and now Armstrong,
This is not the same situation at all. ETN actually wore the O and B uniform for two years. Played hard when it was his turn. Didn’t play games when recruited from what I remember. Was a good team player with the exception of a few tweets from his brother. Hayes did none of those things.
Since this is an Evan Stewart thread, shouldn’t we have extra money from Princely and Trevor leaving? I don’t think we will be in the Evans Stewart race would love to see us get a big-time receiver like him, or the kid from Tulane
As far as Etienne goes, he’s very very talented BUT I’ll ride with our current rb room all day long. Johnson is a very good college back, Carroll will turn heads, Webb is a downhill workpail guy and look out for the two Freshman. Daniels is special!! Etienne frustrated me with not staying in bounds, then I could count 3-4 times when he ran out of bounds early to not take a hit when he could’ve easily had three or four more yards, and then there’s his lack of pass blocking.
It did seem at the beginning of the year they spied the QB pretty well, then that fell off a cliff. I look forward to making him regret that decision to transfer to a scheduled opponent. Like that .... I'm going to try to be nice.... Etienne
Would think ES would want to go to an offense where they throw the ball a lot. Perhaps USCwest? LSU? Or where they produce a lot of first round draft choices like Ohio State or Bama?
