Who is your dark horse to win it: Switzerland, Romania, Austria even new-comer Georgia could surprise. They beat Portugal 2-0, although the game was meaningless to Ronaldo's side since they had already clinched 1st place in their group. I think it is going to be Spain but my heart is with Austria who have a very tough road. If they are going to get to the final they may have to defeat the Netherlands a second time and then one of England, Slovakia, Switzerland or Italy.
1 of the favorites down! Italy eliminated today by a very energetic Swiss side. The Swiss definitely looking more and more like a dark horse. They have been a strong team for decades but have not quite broken through to the very top. Germany also easily advances while eliminating the Danes.
Spain wins the Euro cup over England 2-1. I'm not a big soccer fan but it was an exciting finish. Spain dominated play and only due to a stellar effort by the English goalie was it close. A bit off topic but it seems these matches have gotten more physical with not as much flopping as in prior years.
As I suspected and posted to start off this thread. I lost a bit of interest when my team lost a heartbreaker vs Turkey, but Spain is a deserving Champion (again)!
