They fired the journalist that was investigating some of UGa's hijinks after Kirby complained. Reckon that might have a chilling effect on other local journalists doing the same?
The phrase "the fix is in" was coined to describe the good ole boys club that's been running the SEC for many decades - while promoting the interests of a chosen few. Other than the money and prestige that being a member of the SEC confers, I don't give a hoot in hell about any of them.
Good point! I think these writers feel they can pin Aaron Hernandez on the Gators and on Meyer specifically, as if Urban encouraged him to turn into a thug!
What a crock of shit. They could only prove that Georgia protected two players, and the other nine were not on video so it cannot be talked about.
And at that time in the morning come up with $1900 cash in less than an hour. There sure is a safety net for some kids there.
Ugaly's fixer showed up with a pocket full of cash. Recall that is the modus operendi there. Tough to trace cash transactions.
Exactly. Where there's smoke, there's fire. The Atlanta paper clearly showed that they are basically on UGa's payroll....which is why I say that there will be no journalistic investigation of UGa by a local or regional paper.
The third paragraph I found interesting was that they said they could not find evidence that Judd fabricated his story but could not verify that 11 players accused were allowed to stay on the team. What the hell is that? Is it not the job of a newspaper to dig for evidence. Instead, the pressure from Kirby caused them to throw one of their own under the bus. Shame on the AJC fish wrap.
He'll miss only 10% of the season (1 game?). Georgia justice is interesting. UGA's Etienne faces suspension after DUI arrest
For ammunition, check out the recruiting article on Koby Howard on GC. He explicitly says UF would be higher in his recruitment if CBN were not on the hot seat. He hasn't been talking to the AD or boosters. He is projecting from rival coaches, message boards, social media, journalists, etc.
