Email I received today from the state of Florida

A possibly good plan for frivolous and specious reasons.

Big Pharma needs to be taken to task for using American drug prices to subsidize its vast lobbying efforts, not for actually doing something good like quickly developing a vaccine for a virus causing a raging pandemic.

 

There have been anti-big pharma commercials running on TV here, I don't know who's behind them, but I wouldn't be surprised if its connected

 

It's just amazingly ironic to me that what may actually knock Big Pharma down a peg or two is one of the few things they deserve credit for, rapidly developing a safe vaccine to control a deadly widespread virus and then offering that vaccine for affordable prices (understanding that Uncle Sam helped subsidize heavily, but we do that for very expensive drugs, also).

 

I don't know if they will be knocked down at all, right-wing 'populism' talks a lot of shit and gives goobers talking points, but they really don't offer much of an alternative or solution. You get permission to be mad, but not much else beyond some donor hocking "alternative" medicine.

 

Good gawd.... it's nothing more than a freakn PSA warning Floridians that you can not trust the FDA bc they've been bought n whored out by big pharma.

Weaponized....

 

...or maybe the FDA has earned a significant degree of skepticism...

Of course... the drug corporations have no responsibilities to make safe and effective vaccines.

They seem to be completely immune to any such blame.

 

Why does Florida want to make property insurance companies immune but not pharma companies?

 

Especially since Trump's sperm doctor and our very own Qship are updating us.

 

Well, being anti Big Pharma is super complex.

Just one example:

Pfizer is pure evil. They make COVID vaccines. They have never done anything but try to kill you, especially when you were a baby and maybe even before. Well, Viagra was pretty cool. But also, old. Don't need it. There are a dozen other boner pills for geezers with weiner flop.

Merck is cool. No COVID vaccine. Well, they tried, but failed. So they bailed. Either way, no COVID vaccine! So, they are not out to get you. Also, they make Ivermectin. It is for worms. That is what COVID is. It is a worm. If it exists at all, that is. It probably doesn't. And if it does, it is a worm. Merck hates worms and didn't figure out COVID. So they love you.

Merck actually dwarfs Pfizer in profit. More than 50% more valuable. But it isn't fair to lump Merck in with Big Pharma. Because they are just killing worms. They do make Lagevrio, which is for AFTER getting COVID symptoms, not the ridiculous idea of trying to minimize them beforehand. It is antiviral, which is really tiptoeing up to Pure Evil status. But it is also accepted on many websites that "Merck antiviral" means "worm killer." Merck is OK.

Eli Lilly is actually the King of Big Pharmaland. But they didn't make a COVID vaccine. But also, no worm killer. Also, they make Cialis. IOW, they make Pfizer expendable because Flop Weinermen have their dealer here. And no COVID vaccine, and the worms are squared away by Pretty Cool Merck. So the biggest Big Pharma is OK, for now. Just don't FAFO.

Adding in measles makes the tidiness above disappear. It is important to fully embrace the axe you are actually grinding before reverse-engineering it into a Big Pharma tirade.
