Yes, that was my point. Elon may or may not appreciate the line drawing mind experiment. I imagine he’d like it, because it results in a 0/1 paradigm.

But that doesn’t really solve his anti-Borg Twitter escapade.

    “Genius” is a fickle beast.

He has no idea what he is doing. Cancelling accounts that promote other social media because he feels that other publishers do not allow it. No concept of the legal ramifications of that action

'Are you just winging it?' Legal expert warns Elon Musk he may have just made a huge mistake (msn.com)

Specifically, the Twitter Support account stated that "we will remove accounts created solely for the purpose of promoting other social platforms and content that contains links or usernames for the following platforms: Facebook, Instagram, Mastodon, Truth Social, Tribel, Nostr and Post." In a tweet justifying the new policy, Musk argued that he could no longer allow "relentless free advertising of competitors" on his social media platform, while then adding that "no traditional publisher allows this and neither will Twitter."
    .............................................................
"It appears that you admit that you’re a publisher for purposes of Section 230 of Title 47 of the United States Code," Mariotti explained to Musk. "Have you thought about the consequences of the positions you’re taking, or are you just winging it?"

Éric Freyssinet, the deputy director of France's Cyberspace Gendarmerie Command, similarly warned Musk that his company could lose protections against both civil and criminal legal liabilities if it really enforces this policy.

"Any attempt to remove my tweets that link to my other social media accounts, not violating any law, would actually make Twitter an editorial media, and no longer a social media platform, with civil and criminal liability for *any* illegal content therein," he explained.

Yeah as I have said he has proven in the past that he can overcome early set backs to be wildly successful.
But the mistakes he has made here are just mind blowing, he seems
To have no concept of the place Twitter has in the world generally, and especially of its role in free speech worldwide. He is literally attacking the only few things Twitter had going for it when he bought an already struggling company. His decisions seem completely ego and not business driven. Like it’s a crazy rich narcissist’s temper tantrum.
Not sure how he recovers from it, not just with Twitter, but what it does to his golden touch reputation. His next project will be far less likely to get backing if this blows up the way it looks like it might.
But maybe he somehow some way pulls one out of the fire again.

look for class action suit against Musk soon as he has gored his own golden ox

Tesla Buyers Are Bailing Because of Elon Musk, the 'Worst Troll' (msn.com)

The last straw for Heather was Elon Musk's vitriolic attacks on Anthony Fauci, one of the world's most respected immunologists and the outgoing director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases. For Logan, it was when Musk, days after taking over Twitter, ordered employees to stop paying bills to vendors for services they'd already rendered.

For Tom, Musk's corrosive and erratic leadership of Twitter since he bought the social media site at the end of October was just too much.

And when each of them called to cancel their Tesla car preorders or to terminate their car leases over the past few months, saying Musk's toxic behavior was the reason, they were told pretty much the same thing from the Tesla salesperson on the other end of the line: "We're hearing a lot of that."
    ............................
Tesla's shares have plummeted more than 33% since the deal was finalized Oct. 27, with Musk reportedly pulling engineers from projects at the carmaker to help keep the lights on at Twitter after he unceremoniously fired half of Twitter's employees a week into his takeover. Big name advertisers, who account for nearly 90% of Twitter's sales, have bailed. Those who've spoken publicly say his corrosive behavior, in addition to poorly planned changes to the site that led to a proliferation of fake accounts, are too much.

He responded to a condescending post she made, and he's also right, she made a stupid analogly and should be called out for it ...

Also, no blue check mark ... who knows if really Keith Oldermann anymore. Blue Check Marks are meaninglessnow anyway, but this account doesn't have one... Looks fake to me though, the account posting as "Keith Oldermann's Dog" is @TomJumboGrumbo ... I think you fell for the Fake News ... again.

In another poll, 80% of the respondents want Snoop Dog as Twitter CEO.

By the time Elon Musk finishes cleaning house at Twitter the house will be much smaller than it was when he acquired control of the company.
Just to clarify, I'm not referring to the number of its employees but the company itself.
