What an utterly idiotic, ignorant, dumbass, retarded faux point to pretend to make. The US has regs that naturally disadvantage our manufacturers. You know--piddly negotiable shit like minimum wages, age restrictions, unions, withholdings...

Chinese can use kids. Slave labor. Government assistance...

Yall have literally lost your minds to your politics.

More TDS induced, politically motivated stupidity. What did the EV industry look like before EM?

I mean....damn... he was y'all's enviro-fascist hero, before he dared take up for the fist Amendment--for Trump--and agsinst statist manipulation of *free speech* vis a vis Twitter...

Now, y'all's TDS induced vitriol can't separate EM from DT.

Geeeezzz...at least fentanyl kills off its intellectually compromised vics...

Seems like the point went over someone's utterly idiotic, ignorant, dumbass, retarded head. It's simple, don't brand yourself as a Pure Capitalist and Libertarian if you are going to beg the government to protect your company from "really good" products being made overseas ... after your company was overtaken in global sales. He's no different from the rest of the crony capitalists.

Nonsense. Government intervention (both sides) has tilted the terrain. His comments are basesld on the existing terrain, bc the *law* has made it do. To advocate otherwise would be to advocate AGAINST THE LAW (eg--child labor laws).

Beside, around these parts (the snowglobe), libertarian = big government. Lol!

....btw, have you noticed those orange streaks in the eastern sky from time to time?

That'd be that copy cat IP pirate non-innivator's private sector rockets running circles around NASA in terms of launches.

His greatest skill is getting the gullible to think he's some kind of visionary. Not an innovation either, especially in America, the land of hucksters.

    His rockets.

Who else has NASA deigned to cooperate with so extensively?

Did he buy NASA? Does he own NASA?

...and btw, you--an avowed commie--making fun about anybody and innovation, is laughable.

The commies know nothing about innovation, as 99.999% of their technology is pirated, stolen, or appropriated.

The ones his people developed with massive government subsidies and infrastructure? Space X wouldnt exist without the government lol. I'd say he should probably be thanking the Nazis and our government's willingness to employ ex-Nazis like Von Braun that laid all the groundwork, and also the Russians for making us care about space since they were the first to do it with Sputnik. The Commies also put the first man in space too, you should look it up sometime.

I think the point you've missed, once again that if you are a person who advocates for government intervention in free markets, then stop saying your a pure capitalists and libertarian,.because that's literally the thing they pretend to hate the most ... Again, it's that simple....

The terrible secret is that most of the modern world and the innovations we think are so awesome is thanks to governments seeking to get an edge in making war. Having Payed taxes or buying war bonds in 1942 makes you more of an innovator than Elon Musk basically.

musk now teaming with Mike Johnson to carry Putin's water.

Musk Says Putin Can’t Lose in Ukraine, Opposes Senate Bill (yahoo.com)

Musk, the billionaire chief executive officer of Tesla Inc., made the comments in a forum Monday on X Spaces, part of his X social media platform. The discussions included opponents of a Senate bill that would provide further assistance for Ukraine to continue battling the full-scale Russian invasion that began two years ago. He was joined by Ron Johnson of Wisconsin, JD Vance of Ohio and Mike Lee of Utah, as well as Vivek Ramaswamy, a former Republican presidential candidate, and David Sacks, a co-founder of Craft Ventures LLC.

Musk’s comments came as he agreed with Johnson’s statement that Putin would not lose in Ukraine. Johnson said those who expect a Ukraine victory were “living in a fantasy world.”

“We gotta kill this thing,” Vance said of the $95 billion measure, which includes $60 billion in assistance for Ukraine as well as funding for Israel, Taiwan, and humanitarian aid for Gaza. Musk added he hoped Americans would contact their elected representatives about the Ukraine bill. “This spending does not help Ukraine. Prolonging the war does not help Ukraine.”

What relevance does that have? Russia also thought they’d roll right in to Kyiv. The U.S. government offered to evacuate Zelensky at the start, so obviously even the U.S. didn’t think they’d hold off Russia. But the fact is they did.

They essentially have a stalemate. It might not be realistic for Ukraine to move the line substantially any more than it is for Russia. But logically I don’t see how that is a rationale to pull back support. Obviously Putin wants western nations to pull back support because that’s how his troops move the line. If North Korea decided it wanted to annex some SK territory and started lobbing missiles into SK, would we be saying we need to pull out and demand South Korea go to the negotiating table in the interest of peace? That their citizens ought to surrender to North Korea? In effect this is the logic being applied here.

Right....because nothing has changed since 1775.

Instead of money, maybe we should send Ukraine some cannons, bayonets and muskets.....hell we can even throw in a few swords and horses.

That will definitely lead Ukraine to victory

You're smart enough to get the point. You're just choosing not to acknowledge it because it doesn't support the liberal narrative.
