The vote was never in doubt. The pro-Jones users voted 100% for reinstatement and 50% of the anti-Musk / anti-Jones people voted to let him back in an effort to self sabotage the platform - like NASCAR fans waiting and secretly hoping for a crash

Musk polled users and users said Musk should step down. Musk ignored the poll.

Musk banned a user who tracked his Lear jet citing personal safety issues. But when Jones causes crazy people to harass and threaten Sandy Hook parents, free speech!!

    Speaking of auto-pilot....

Tesla recalls nearly all vehicles sold in US to fix system that monitors drivers using Autopilot

DETROIT (AP) — Tesla is recalling nearly all vehicles sold in the U.S., more than 2 million, to update software and fix a defective system that’s supposed to ensure drivers are paying attention when using Autopilot.

Documents posted Wednesday by U.S. safety regulators say the update will increase warnings and alerts to drivers and even limit the areas where basic versions of Autopilot can operate.

The recall comes after a two-year investigation by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration into a series of crashes that happened while the Autopilot partially automated driving system was in use. Some were deadly.

OT - Musk has decided to go to war with small Nordic union. He has taken the typical western union mentality that union is anti-efficiency. EU unions are a lot different and big institutional investors are now urging Musk to reconsider his position. I'm not sure the Musk has it in him to "back down" so this will be interesting to watch.

Tesla’s Nordic union dispute sparks angry letter from big investors (msn.com)

Tesla’s showdown with trade unions across the Nordic region is threatening to spill over to the financial markets after a group of pension funds and asset managers sent a letter to Elon Musk urging him to change course.

Nordic institutional investors managing a total of $1 trillion in assets said they are “deeply concerned” about Tesla’s attitude to worker rights in Sweden and demanded the carmaker accept collective bargaining agreements for its staff, according to a letter sent Thursday and seen by Bloomberg News. Signatories to the letter include Denmark’s Velliv Pension & Livsforsikring A/S and AkademikerPension.

The group of at least 15 investors called out Tesla’s sustainability credentials over its challenge to the so-called “Nordic Model” by not letting mechanics at seven of its Swedish repair shops sign up to an agreement that covers basic rights such as minimum pay and gender equality. They also pointed out how the same model has benefited Tesla in building up “a significant market share” in the region, which trumps even Germany when it comes to deliveries of cars.
    ..............................................................................
The dispute that began in October has already upended Tesla’s operations in the region as sympathy actions from other trade unions have spread to dockworkers in neighboring Denmark, Finland and Norway. From next week Tesla will have to transport its cars bound for Sweden via trucks from continental Europe.

EU is officially investigating Twitter now. Again, who knew that running a social media platform was more complicated than right-wingers online thought it was?

It's like every time Elon "likes" a tweet it costs him a billion dollars.

The man is going broke and driving Tesla into the ground. Ignore that 130% ROI on Tesla stock in 2023. That’s the calm before the storm.

TSLA on the day that Twitter deal was announced: 328.33
    TSLA today: 248.48

    DJIA on April 14, 2022: 34,451
    DJIA today: 37,689

Yeah, everything is going super for him. He has only lost about 25% of the value of his actual company from when he announced this terrific deal. And 71% of the value of this company.

Tesla board member didn't seek reelection over Musk drug use: WSJ

    • The Wall Street Journal reported executives across Elon Musk's companies worry about his drug use.
    • A former Tesla director didn't seek reelection to the company's board due to his drug use, per The Journal.
    • The outlet reported Tesla board members were concerned Musk was on drugs when he made his "funding secured" tweet.

    • Elon Musk Has Used Illegal Drugs, Worrying Leaders at Tesla and SpaceX
    • Elon Musk and his supporters offer several explanations for his contrarian views, unfiltered speech and provocative antics. They’re an expression of his creativity. Or the result of his mental-health challenges. Or fallout from his stress, or sleep deprivation.

In recent years, some executives and board members at his companies and others close to the billionaire have developed a persistent concern that there is another component driving his behavior: his use of drugs.

    All is well …

Elon Musk gives Tesla ultimatum: Another 12% of shares or no AI, robotics

Elon Musk says his ambitions to make Tesla more than just an automaker depend on him gaining far more control over the company. The controversial CEO took to his social media platform X to say that unless he is awarded another 12 percent of the company, which would give him ownership of 25 percent of Tesla, he would be "uncomfortable growing Tesla to be a leader in AI & robotics."

Failing that, Musk said he would "prefer to build products outside of Tesla," then questioned why large institutional investors in Tesla like Fidelity "don't show up to work," seemingly confused by the difference between an individual with a job and a company that owns assets.
