Election officials in TX county quit after being threatened and stalked

A significant percentage may not believe that Trump wants to overthrow the democracy but they believe his big lie that he really won the election and that it was stolen through him through massive voter fraud and that ideally the slate of electors certified in a number of states should be decertified (obviously never going to happen). To prevent a similar injustice in the future they would have no problem with a state election official or legislature replacing a state's slate of electors if they were told by their Dear Leader that the popular vote was the result of fraud.

The quote in your signature - "The American republic will endure until the day Congress discovers it can bribe the public with the public's money" - is often incorrectly attributed to de Toqueville. Numerous variations of the quote have appeared in print since the early 1950's, but the cautionary statement does not appear in any of de Tocqueville’s writings or speeches. Its likely source is Alexander Fraser Tytler, also referenced in your post #109 earlier on this same thread.
