The thing that struck me about the TP shortage was, does being quarantined make you crap more? Or do you use more paper at home since you would typically take your dumps out in the wild at the office or a restaurant? Maybe worried about diarrhea if you got covid. Made absolutely no sense.

Don't worry soon all of our chickens will be fully vaccinated. The only problem is no importer wants vaccinated chickens

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — With egg prices soaring, the Trump administration is planning a new strategy for fighting bird flu that stresses vaccinations and tighter biosecurity instead of killing off millions of chickens when the disease strikes a flock.

The federal government will seek “better ways, with biosecurity and medication and so on” rather than the current standard practice of destroying all the birds on a farm when an infection is detected, Kevin Hassett, director of the National Economic Council, said Sunday on the CBS program “Face the Nation.”

Hasset said the administration planned to announce further details this week. He said they were “working with all the best people in government, including academics around the country and around the world,” to get the plan ready.

The anti-vaxxer admin who would fire the entire public health apparatus, now desperately leaning on “the best of govt scientists” to come up with a mass chicken inoculation plan.

Please show some documentation about that 100% lethality number.

This is rather simplistic but it sure doesn’t support your claim.

“February’s rates still look grim. So far this month more than nine million domesticated birds have been infected by the virus or culled in attempt to stop its spread.”

Basically Trump destroyed another 9M chickens. Panic has ensued and prices are shooting up. What is he doing to stop the price increases? Nothing.

    Trump says “not my problem”.

    https://www.themarysue.com/i-had-no...ibility-after-breaking-another-major-promise/

In 2024, during the thick of the campaign trail, Donald Trump made a huge promise to his would-be voters: Lowering the cost of rising prices. It would be the first thing he would do if elected, he said.

It’s February. Prices are still climbing with no real relief in sight. Simple items that I grew up on, such as cereal, are egregiously expensive. So what of Trump’s big promise to combat the cost of the simple things people need to live from Day One?

Inflation is back,” he said to Sean Hannity on a Fox News spot on Tuesday night. “I’m only here for two and a half weeks … I had nothing to do with it.”

That’s quite the turn from what he said during the summer of 2024. Trump continuously promised that he would drive prices down from his first day in office.

I hope this answers your question
Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI): Highly pathogenic avian influenza viruses cause severe disease and high mortality in infected poultry. Only some avian influenza A(H5) and A(H7) viruses are classified as HPAI A viruses, while most A(H5) and A(H7) viruses circulating among birds are LPAI A viruses. HPAI A(H5) or A(H7) virus infections can cause disease that affects multiple internal organs with mortality up to 90% to 100% in chickens, often within 48 hours.

So your statement that “the bird flu is both extremely infectious and has a near 100% lethality rate among infected chickens” is somewhat of an embellishment.

The link says “some” are of the category where mortality could be as high as 90% -100% based on severity. It is quite a stretch to claim what you claim when “only some could”, ignoring that “most” do not. Since the link neglects to define “some”, let’s do a little simple math; If we define “some” as 1/3(probably a little on the high side and define the “could be” at 75%(again probably a little high), we would have overall mortality of .33 X .75 =0.248. 25% is a long way from your claim of “near 100%”.

I'll be straight with you Aging... I have no idea how Trump was going to lower prices. He said he would do it by drilling and that it would start immediately. Seems farfetched to me.

As for your direct question, serving infected chicken to humans seems like a bad idea to me. I expect fewer chickens to cost more just like fewer cars available make cars cost more. But I learned that is all on the president and the current one said he would fix it.

Oh, well just like COVID I guess you should let all those clueless mega farms and know-nothing USDA folks stop everything and defer to you because…(reasons).

Not necessarily, but I do expect straight up, factual statistics. We certainly DID NOT get that during COVID so excuse me for questioning. As you can see from my question, it was certainly warranted this time as well.

Well, our expert of experts Fauci’s ‘Covid lethality’ estimates varied by a factor of ten in a 24 hour period, ranging from something like a bad flu to something like a combination of the Andromeda Strain and Ebola.
