Ask yourself, what edge tandem over the past 20 years at UF would you take them over ?

I disagree. I think the defense got better with them than it was with Cox. They held the edge a lot more than Cox did.

I don’t see a first rounder on the DL at present. May turn out to be good players by graduation but currently awful versus run and sometimes pass rush extends beyond the pocket, which should never occur

Eh, right now no but i think we are talking potential. Princely might be a late bloomer and APR Is early In his career as far as experience. D line is one of those positions I think you can see players take considerable leaps through the course of their career. I don't recall seeing a position like safety do the same very often because of factors you can't teach like speed and instincts. D line is more nuanced and often requires some physical growth. We haven’t had a 1st round pick on the DL in like 5 years and for most of our better runs we only average one every 2-3 years. Half the 1st round DL from UF are pretty mediocre pros. It’s not like we have some kind of standard of excellence the new guys can only dream of living up to.

I don’t think many meant these guys when lamenting talent. Agree with others that I preferred them to BC after we got the data.

Princely was already getting good internal reviews. Powell showed out when he got his shot.

I would obviously like to load up with Bosa types but I don’t see this particular spot anywhere close to top of the priority list. MLB, S, and DT would def come first, on D.

I've been following Princely since he was recruited and have been waiting for him to get his chance. We'll see a lot of him in the future, the young man has really impressed me with his play this year.

The defense overall did get better after Cox left, but they didn't hold the edge a lot more than Cox did.

If I were to compare him to any recent player it would probably be Alex McCalister, in that they are both pretty tall and can play with noticeable bend. Princely has better bulk.

Any idea why his little brother isn't interested in UF?

OMG just watched that Bama/Fla championship game. Hard hitting and was Demps fast. Yikes. Tebow!!!

    More greatness.

  15. Polite/healthy Zuniga in 2018 and Greenard in 2019 along with David Reese both years both years kept the heat off Grantham. Greenard only came here to follow Grantham because Kentucky didn't want him outta hs so he ended up at Louisville with Grantham. Great examples of how a few players can cover up for a terrible coach and of course Mullen was too aloof to recognize this.

I can't think of another DE who could get to the RB in the backfield running between the OG as quickly as Zuniga his junior year. Best at setting the edge in the past decade also. For an out and out pass rusher Grenard was very good as well at that.

Always thought G > Z. Better first move and stronger against the run, but ankle dings hampered both

Both were great against the run though. I believe Zuniga had a big part in the back to back goal line stand against Georgia and his last play against LSU in 19 was a scrape completely across the field where he blew the play up. When he went down along with a hampered greenard we were screwed.

No clue, you have to wonder about why a kid would go to Nebraska though. It has hot and humid Summers and brutal Winters.
