I can understand why Trackman feels that way about this quote. Don't forget: in the post-game PC following the end-of-season loss to FSU, CBN was asked directly whether, despite the losing record, he was seeing signs that the team was progressing in its rebuild as he had envisioned. His answer: "I don't know if you can measure that." I remember it like it was yesterday; and I was stunned at the implications of such an admission. But, hey. Maybe that off-season evaluation process revealed that all actually is well, and the plan is unfolding pretty much as expected. I'd be interested to hear/read what his rebuild schedule is and what criteria he used to reach his conclusion. It would give me a warm fuzzy if he could/would.
Edgar’s always been a little off. I’m surprised he’s on every week with Shane Matthews to be honest. Not sure what Shane sees in him as he rarely adds any insight to me.
I think it goes back to the day when newspaper beat writers were seen as people with significant impact and reach. But, these days, nobody reads newspapers. That's why so many are out of business or suffering greatly with circulation. They're trying to remain relevant by posting online now, but, they're almost all behind paywalls. They can't figure out that this is the best way to lose the rest of their readers, and don't seem to understand that advertising is the way it's done.
