What a non inclusive holiday. Shouldn’t it be an all citrus day?

Fake victimhood aside. How is this helping Biden? What exactly is the strategy here?

Coincidence it drops on Easter as it’s been 3/31 for a few years now. Bigger issue is why we have like 160 days now for gay/transgender issues. I mean that is a bit excessive.

It's hard to get past the fake victimhood, it's raging. Some people just love to play that victim card, easier in life when you don't have to take responsibility.

I can tell I am on the correct path when certain people disagree with me. Great start to the day.

Orthodox Easter is May 5, the day the Mexicans celebrate expelling the French and Americans think is a party, and the day after a modern pagan celebration (Star Wars). Not sure what all that means, but someone must have aligned the dates for some nefarious purpose.

But so long as it doesn’t offend the one true faith, the only “real Christians” - politicized American evangelicals

To increase the confusion and cognitive dissonance, March 31, 2024, Easter Sunday in the Latin Rite Christian world, is also the 25th anniversary of the release of science fiction classic The Matrix, currently the chief metaphor for becoming stupid, i.e., “red pilled”, i.e. far right conspiracy believer.

Good long thread here but don’t miss this tweet down in the thread.

It's like 70%-80% of America that support LGBT issues like same sex marriage and laws against discrimination, which lines up exactly with the 20% - 30% that are hard core right wingers and never would never vote for Biden anyway. It's not hurting Biden, and he's doing the right thing.

I don’t disagree. I’ve been screwed two times in business deals and both were “so called” Christian’s. Unfortunately some people use it to fraud others. My belief is that God will come down hard on those that use his name to do wrong.

Just weird that anyone who is not trans would even know about this? Had I not come on to Too Hot this AM, I would have never heard about this non-story (for me).

There are many LBGTQ etc. Christian’s. I’d imagine they would be insulted also with some of the comments and pictures posted here about Christians and Jesus. Why insult the people you are supposedly defending? I think I know the answer.

Probably so. I only started reading this thread yesterday. But the cruelty and oppression seems to mainly flow one way, at least in USA 2024. I worry about someone getting hurt or killed, marginalized others feeling despair or rejection.

My daughter, obviously of a different generation, when we were discussing the casting of Sara Bareilles, a lovely and talented singer, as Mary Magdalene in the NBC Live production of Jesus Christ Superstar a few years back, and me noting that there is no actual evidence Mary Magdalene was a prostitute but that view has been promulgated to show that the most marginalized and despised members of society were the first to witness the Resurrection, noted that a trans woman should be cast to make that point.
    She had a point.
