Curious if players accept their invitation to the East/West Shrine game, with eligibility left, are they essentially saying they are foregoing their final year of college football? Princely and Kingsley both have accepted invites.

These days you really never know because of NIL deals and the money he’s already making. He’s had a good season but I’m wondering if he could have a great season next year with Justus Boone on the other side coming back and all the young guys returning. He has the measurables to get into the first round but maybe the risk/reward isn’t worth it. I’ve felt if you’re a sure fire 1st rounder, move on. After that, who knows. Seen many UF players leave early on bad advice and never play a down of meaningful football again. Princely is an absolute day 2 pick so that’s not a concern of his. From what I can find, if they accept the invitation, they are essentially forgoing any eligibility they have left. They could back out and not play, but very unlikely to do that. So we will lose Pearsall and Kingsley on O & Princely on D. Likely some other attrition along the way but we will have tons of experience coming back. I think Slaughter has played well and seems to be getting better with all the reps.
