    Impressive that they got 300 people off that plane as it burned. i would hope for a similar outcome if something like happened in the US, but these days who knows? maybe some fights in the aisles as peeps try to grab their carry ons and take selfies.

    The total number of passengers was 379. The plane is (was) an Airbus A-350. The plane apparently used more carbon fiber composites than a typical plane, and less metal, meaning that the plane was more flammable than average. Experts say that it wouldn't have made much difference in this case.

    The Japan Airlines plane that caught fire used carbon-fiber composite materials that are less heat-resistant
