EA reveals NCAA College Football 25 teaser

Is this just a projection of what they think of the 2024 season?

 

My impression was this is where they are currently measuring football programs. I saw the tiers on X, but I'm not certain what their basing it on!

I'm not buying Clemson, Utah, Iowa, or Penn State. Texas belongs up there.

Did anyone notice the USF Bulls are in tier two?

 

It’s EA sports. They probably based it on very recent history. So that they can change it every year and give you more reason to buy a new game. I wouldn’t put too much into these rankings.

 

It’s based on ap finishes in the last ten years. It’s ea’s structure for how they’re going to distribute money to the schools.

 

It’s just average rankings last 10 years. I’m sure their prestige system in Dynasty mode is a more accurate representation.

 

Seems pretty fair.

 

You would think payments should be based on actual fan usage. For example, games on tv with actual viewership nationally. Since EA sports, why not based on actual team usage

 

Notre dumb, Michigan and Okie State in top tier?

Michigan is going to tank bad with Harbaugh gone, Notre dumb hasn't won anything in forever, and Okie State?? LMAO.

I also suspect Clemson is waaay overated, but they play in the All Cupcake Conference, so maybe they will have the FSU effect.

It’s ea sports. They’re not journalists, they sell video games. These tiers are based on how teams finished in the ap polls over the last ten years and this is how they plan to distribute money to the schools.

 

That would be awesome. Certainly an incentive to play your team and build it into a powerhouse.

They’re currently the national champions, why wouldn’t they be in Tier 1
