I've yelled at kids being mean to someone who was handicapped before and would do it if someone was yelling racial slurs at someone. You keep saying you think it happened yet the person Duke said did it was shown to not have done it. So again, i'll wait until more facts come out but it doesn't look good the Duke player right now.

Has anyone other than the player reported hearing it?

I see the problem here, there's only one thing you consider racist, and its whatever Fetterman did

That's a question reporters should have asked officials, coaches, and players. She was the one who reported to her own coaches, who then relayed it to others. It doesn't seem like they heard it prior to her telling them.

You also had BYU banning the fan and issuing a statement about it. So it's hard to hold off writing something until the reporters interviewed everyone ...

Reporters have interviewed multiple people. They don't have to interview everyone before writing the story but they could have easily asked the people that they interviewed if anyone else heard it.

BYU is supposedly still reviewing videos. They banned him for approaching the Duke players. He claims he is friends with one of the BYU players and got confused. If he is mentally handicapped, as has been reported, that may be true. If the video shows that he didn't yell any racial slurs then they should issue a public apology to him.

I got into a rather heated private email exchange with Jemele about 15 years ago when she worked at the Sentinel and had taken a really bad take on something during a TV interview. Not the world’s nicest person, especially if you call her out for some of her extreme race baiting (and she’s really only a 1 trick pony on that front).

Easy there, If Coop has to wait for facts before making outlandish statements we will only be able to have the privilege of his enlightened opinion about 1/4 of the amount that we get it now.

I met her at an event back when she was here. She not the worlds nicest person on her happiest day (if she has one).

    Notes:

Racism exists and the USA sucks in comparison with perfection and is one of the best examples of different folks living together without acrimony in the world of reality.

Both Left & Right have idiots and conflict baiters.

When serious allegations are made up (Duke lacrosse) it makes the real stuff seem doubtful.

    Carry on.

Crazy stuff. Those are concerning tweets. If this story turns out to be untrue, wonder if anyone will apologize to BYU and the individual who allegedly did this? Lol we know the answer to that.

With regard to the individual, I don’t think the person banned was banned for yelling racial slurs. He was banned for getting too close to the Duke players, wasn’t he?

Officially yes. He was the one accused of yelling racial slurs but the videos showed he didn’t. BYU wants to punish someone and still cover their ass if he sues them. So they went with him approaching the team as the official reason he was banned. He admitted to approaching them and says it was because he thought one of them was his friend.
