Yes, I understand that. But what will the rationale for such legislation be? Obviously, they won't all be as forthcoming as the Justice that laments the lack of a "domestic infant reserve," so how will they justify such head-scratching prohibitions? Can't invoke religion. Can't make it about public health, since condoms prevent disease, and birth control pills do double duty as gynecological medical treatments. So how would lawmakers justify such a draconian prohibition?

Because there's a very slim chance that a birth control pill or IUD could cause a fertilized egg to be expelled during a woman's period, and since these regulate periods, they theoretically could cause an abortion. And after all, the life, health, & well being of a woman can't possibly compare to the minute possibility a fertilized egg could be aborted, so best not to risk it and ban them.

You're also looking for sound judgment and arguments from people who think ectopic pregnancies are viable and, therefore, shouldn't be aborted.

They don't even hide it. One woman (use the term loosely) said she wants all contraceptives banned because they allow for women to be loose and that they should all be pure to their marriage bed and that if her husband was to impregnate her once a year the rest of her life so be it.

It was that kind of thinking that lead to so many women dying so young in the old days.

Continued hypocrisy. Catholic church, Baptists, etc. Yet they're trying to paint themselves as the Godly ones for forcing others to follow their beliefs, threatening clinic workers, acosting patients, etc.

If it's not obvious that those supporting these bans on abortions are on the side of true evil I fear we are lost as a people.

Waiting for the outcry when now that the precedent is set to force women to submit their bodies to the State, that pesky right to bodily autonomy will be gone and you can be forced upon penalty of jail to get vaccinated. Or the expectation of privacy folks think they have online wouldn't exist anymore. Etc.

With a surge coming go ahead. Im not a hypocrite and have said my body my choice applies to ALL. But if they want to trounce on women like that I hope somewhere they pass a law to vax or go to jail. See how many will get to reap the consequences of their actions.

They don't care. They literally feel like they're on a Holy Crusade of some sort.

Supporting Trump opened my first eye. His evil was embraced and supported. The moral majority is on the side of evil in almost all ways.

There's consequences, folks...and the alienation of a good chunk of the population will have consequences. As an independent I prided myself in always going best candidate. This time around I'll refuse to vote Republican simply on this subject. Even if it's a good candidate, that would give them the ability to do more damage to basic human rights.

Even if they don't specifically invoke religion at this moment, everyone knows that the religion of almost all of the forced pregnancy crowd is the driving force behind abortion prohibition. Let's not forget that literally thousands of times (tens or hundreds of thousands of times?) over the last few decades we have seen religion very specifically invoked by those who wanted to force women to give birth regardless of the situation.

What else can they use other than religion as the motivation behind abortion prohibition? This is a clear example of a minority of Americans forcing the majority to live according to the minority's religious beliefs, and to use the power of government to do so. They cannot get away from it. There is no other plausible explanation.

FYI it's started. Some stores locking up pregnancy tests and requiring an ID to buy them (Walmart, didn't mention which).

Others advising using cash only and leaving phones at home. Also suggesting ovulation kits so they can track without using the apps.

And in sisterhood, women leaving email addresses, private messaging, etc, to send pregnancy tests to those who are scared.

This is AMERICA. And women now have to FEAR BUYING PREGNANCY TESTS.

    Let that sink in.

Why wouldn’t it? If there is not right to privacy, what would stop them?

What happens after an abortion is a messy truth that people don't want to know or visualize. Obviously the lady was trying to humanize the fetus. I guess whether an aborted fetus should be discarded as medical waste or treated differently is a discussion that most think is unnecessary. It's interesting that if you look at how web sites and support groups treat a miscarriage, they often refer to the fetus as a baby, even though the timing may be the same as an abortion.
Some states even issue a non-viable birth certificate.
