Yep. And let's not forget all the men who will now have even more kids to support. If they pay support.

Or all the cheaters who use abortion to hide their cheating. Not that it matters because God doesn't like divorce so guess men can go back to doing what they want.

    Etc.

I suspect if liberals passed a law requiring sterilization in certain instances those on the right would be he first to embrace the right to privacy.

You know what I look forward to? Many of the "pro-life" people calling me and others "socialists" for demanding that we provide healthcare, food stamps, welfare, etc. to these families to ensure the children don't starve, have shelter, and have access to medical care.

Of course. If there are no rights to privacy or bodily autonomy, what stops the government from sterilizing all Trump voters? Yet, I'm sure the Trump voters believe that's unconstitutional. And I agree with them.

Imagine putting doctors in situations where they have to choose between following the law and letting patients die. It's beyond messed up.

Every state legislation who passes restricts abortion in the ways that many of these states are doing should also include in their bills an economic support obligation for the biological dads of these children to provide support for their biological child. As well as subjecting them to the same criminal punishment the birth mother faces for having an abortion.

You’d then see most of the men in state legislators run like hell from the crap bills they’re passing.

Not to mention the drum beat of "welfare queens getting knocked up for the benefits," the slut shaming, the complaints about fatherless families (which they'll also blame on LGBTs), and the inevitable increase in crime (which they'll blame on "culture").

And the Colorado GOP ended the program. And abortions went back up. The GOP consistently shows that controlling women is more important to them than reducing abortions. Which is why people think their current efforts are more about controlling women than reducing abortions.

The "pro-life" movement seldom supports contraception as a way to reduce abortions. Sad.

Oh I agree. It's never been about health or sanctity of life. It's always been about perceived morals & control.

No matter how they refer to themselves they're really not "pro-life", they're pro-puritanism. I mentioned it another post, the so called pro-lifers including some who have posted to this board have treated unwanted pregnancy as a punishment for sexual irresponsibility (read non-abstinence) and have more or less said that being forced to carry an unwanted pregnancy to term is punishment for said irresponsibility. On the issue of contraception the same individuals have said the if a woman doesn't want to have a child she should keep her thighs closed.

This is why I have a hard time taking just about anybody who is “pro life” seriously. They aren’t good faith actors. They are legislating their values even if they won’t admit. First it starts with abortions at 15 weeks, then 6 weeks, then conception , then abortion is murder, then it is birth control and iud=murder, etc etc.

Here you had a successful program that reduced abortions and they shit can it because either they think IUD=murder, or they don’t want to pay for it (but lifelong govt benefits is ok) or they essentially want women to have babies as punishment for having immoral sex.

Remember it's all about the unborn. They could give a rat's behind about whether or not females suffer or die.
