That spot and subsequent review were perhaps the worst calls I have seen in years. The announcers were decidedly apathetic about it all. I was going nuts watching it all unfold.

 

Stuck in a city with 2 Big Ten schools in a stones throw and ND just down the road along with (i believe) 30 other universities in the Chicagoland area.

Great story for those guys

 

It's not a college city/area in any way. I would wager IL schools would barely crack the top 5 of most followed behind the likes of Mich, ND, Wisconsin, Iowa, Ohio st. etc.

Edit: i should specify football. Lot of basketball fans of Illini, Loyola, etc.

 

Gators win, ND loses. Perfect weekend.
