They've been cooperating for awhile. The US border essentially begins at their southern border, Scheinbaum is from the same party as AMLO was, so continuity. They've more or less decided to keep the US happy with this so they can not have their leftist government couped/destabilized or sanctioned.

 

This "pain," of which Trump speaks so blithely, won't be felt by him or his billionaire supporters. They have no skin in this game of tariffs.

 

So far, it looks like the big difference between Trump and Biden is that he's doing things the way Biden did...
