Starting to see a bit of a pattern with Trump. He will endorse your business to his followers for a donation. Obviously, there were the cringey things around Goya during his time as President. But it has now happened twice more recently. First, he pushes his followers to stop the anti-Bud Light stuff...right after signing a major lobbyist for Inbev up for a fundraiser:

Trump defends Bud Light ahead of fundraiser hosted by Anheuser-Busch lobbyist

Now, Jeff Yass, formerly a Trump critic, donates money to him about a week ago. Yass is an early investor in TikTok/Bytedance (NY Post claims that he has $33 Billion in equity in the company through his company). He starts a massive lobbying campaign to help his investment (threatening lawmakers that vote for the ban). And suddenly, Trump completely reverses position on banning TikTok and publicly endorses TikTok.

Trump Condemns Potential TikTok Ban—Despite Pushing For Ban During His Presidency

Pretty standard stuff if you have ever done business in authoritarian countries. Obviously, there has always been a certain amount of quid-pro-quo in political donations (thanks, Republicans on the Supreme Court), but this is a bit of a new level, right?

Trump might as well run presidential favors for sale ads openly on TV. Worst kept secret ever.

Bringing back a tribute based economy to go with our mercantilist tariff regime, taking it back to the 17th century baby. Someone should revive the East India company and get the Kings (er Presidents) exclusive charter.

Yep, he should give illegal aliens free money and credit cards to entice them to come here illegally and to illegally vote for him. And he should give more free money to his base voters too. Works for the Dems.

    Illegal aliens vote now?

These people spout this nonsense so adamantly that they actually seem to believe it.

Another variation of the big lie, repeat a falsehood often enough and eventually people will believe it especially if they're already predisposed to do so. Illegal aliens have never been able to vote and even legal immigrants with green cards are prohibited from legally voting in federal elections although they may be able to vote in an extremely small percentage of local elections.

Apparently. Both have been endorsed by Trump on social media. The Bud Light one apparently used their PR material (he used stats that their PR people regularly use to promote the brand as properly American).

Neither are American owned companies. If you like drinking carbonated pi$$ Bud is your beer.

Tik Tok I can’t comment on as I don’t use it.

Only big American owned brewer left is Yuengling.

    Bottom of a pint glass
Sam Adams and Sierra Nevada are both pretty large at over a mil bbl per year. I think Sam Adams produces at like 75% or so of what Yuengling does.

    Good info. Thanks

I wasn’t including craft beers but probably need to if they are producing that amount. Good to see American owned companies doing well.

Just read Yuengling produced 2.5 million barrels a year in 2005. Curious how much more today?
