Can you point to a single health insurance program, much less an "efficient" one, which the GOP has proposed or supported in the last 50+ years?

Although all politicians are narcissists when it comes to narcissism Trump is in a class by himself. No other politician comes remotely close to the Donald, the best evidence being Trump's absolute refusal to concede that he was defeated in the 2020 presidential election.

They actually supported a bill in 1993 which ironically was remarkably similar to the ACA legislation virtually every Republican in Congress opposed.

The prior system wasn't more efficient, it just moved the costs around and put more burden on the working poor and on hospital systems, required to care for these working poor without payment. The higher premiums were actually an indication of the fact that Americans were thoroughly unhealthy in the prior system, to the degree that insurance companies needed to control their costs or raise their prices when those folks were able to get coverage. And you saw substantial variation at the state level both due to the desire of certain state governments to make it fail and the relative unhealthiness of certain states (my premiums increased by about $40 in Maryland with no OOP changes). Worse, those two things tended to be correlated, making the impact much worse if you live in a low health, heavily Republican state.

When you add the "de" in front, doesn't that mean he's not sanctimonious?

I hope both Trump and Desantis announce. I look forward to the bloodbath. You eighties should be scared because Trump only cares about himself. If he loses he will burn down the GOP
