Donald Trump officially wages war against Florida governor "Ron DeSanctimonious"

I’m personally enjoying the Trump implosion. Will be a 2 year event.

 

Always kills me that it took 6 years for people to figure out Trump is a toxic clown show and a train wreck.

 

They’ve always known, but as long as he owned the libs they didn’t care.

The beautiful irony is the missed opportunity by republicans to impeach Trump years ago. Had they had done that, this problem would be nothing. Now it's gonna tear the GOP apart. Get your popcorn.

 

The cult thinks of Trump as a god, so I think some underestimate how difficult it will be to move his true believers. Desantis’ “on the 8th day” commercial was creepy as hell, but I guess the idea was to convince evangelicals that it is he that is the true Messiah, not Trump.

I think DeSantis can win vs Trump and do it convincing. The Republican Party is not what I wish it would be . I’m fairly moderate Republican. We all should vote on the issues not because we hate the other candidate. I voted twice for Trump but I couldn’t stand him .

 

What about Kamala Harris or Pelosi ?? Talkin about dumbing down !! What about Fettermen ? Damn

 

IMO, Trump is a shadow of his former self, and that shadow will lose to DeSantis.

 

Polling still suggests otherwise.

Sure, it feels like this election was a kick in the nuts to MAGA and there is some definite finger pointing going around. Yet, I’m sure many thought for sure 1/6 would be the last straw of Trump support. A bunch of prominent Republicans condemned him openly, then 1 week later were down in palm beach kissing his ass and straight up lying/obstructing on his behalf.

I suspect once Trump announces the same phenomenon will happen again, and people will either get in line or be labeled NeverTrumpers/RINO/commie etc.

You’re from Florida and you like your governor. I get it. And you seem like a very reasonable republican. The problem is your party is not controlled by people like you any longer. The GOP sold their souls for complete control and now their chickens have come home to roost. The cultists will not like having their orange god ousted from his own party. So even if you can get rid of trump, good luck winning a general election without that coalition of voters.

 

DeSantis just destroyed it in FL. FL isn't that Red. Keep thinking it's trump or no one.

 

Not me. Happily never voted for trump in 16 or 20. But yes, some held their noses and voted for that idiot.

 

Agree with everything you said. I "hope" it will be DeSantis versus Newsom in 24 but unfortunately I think the idiot former president might not go away.
