Why are you so afraid of "really smart people"?
Moronic doesn't apply to the MAGA crowd, but all the rest do. One can be frustrated with government or, more accurately, how you have been exploited by the uber wealthy, but in no sane world is support of a person like Trump justified. He is the absolute antithesis of every value we learn at home, in school and in our places worship. No one with those values should be supporting Donald Trump because he possesses none of them! He doesn't care about America, and he damn sure doesn't care about you.

Who says I'm afraid of really smart people?
Just because you may have a higher degree of education doesn't mean you are smarter. I don't discount anyone's smartness to absolutes, it's just all the smart guys here not only are smart on absolutes, but they are also smart enough to tell me how to think from their opinions and are capable of discerning someone's thoughts.
If you don't see that, then it is probably because your OPINIONS on any given subject align with the smart people here.

    Is it though? Really?

Last I saw gas was actually below $3.00/gal again. Which is somewhat surprising giving the goings on in the Middle East. But it begs the question: what actually constitutes an “energy crisis”? That particular item seems almost comical at present.

I’m getting close to the same take on inflation, as it seems it’s pretty well settled out now. We definitely had a 1 year cycle of bad overall inflation coming out of the pandemic, and unlike gas some of that won’t come down (will just be baked in the cake going forward). But we also had less inflation than most of the rest of the world. So, you’d think if Biden is responsible (hint: he really isn't) he’d get credit for managing less inflation than the rest of the world. Instead, I guess we are supposed to believe the U.S. President controls these economic issues everywhere?

Wars are never good politics. But how many people clowning Biden as some kind of war monger for *DEFENDING* Ukraine, were in full throated support of invading Iraq? It’s so weird how the politics flipped. Almost seems like the Christian right only gets off on killing Muslims now, not so much defending freedoms.

First. I admit to thinking that Biden is an awful weak POTUS who would rather be on the beach than in the Oval Office.

Second, I never voted for Trump. If it is Biden vs Trump I will not vote again for a POTUS.

Things the left screamed about they have lost their voices.
Joe Biden 147 (as of Sept 2023)with year to go.
    Donald Trump 92

The left never calls out Biden for his lies, but they had a running thread when Trump was in office. Trump did lie a lot but so does Biden. When someone calls out Biden for his lies someone screams back TRUMP. They are both liars.

Inflation was worldwide, but no one spent like Biden and Trump. The Green Deal has become a raw deal. Cutting off all the pipelines was wrong, imo.

Mideast war? How much money did Iran make after Biden came to office

The Biden administration has restored a sanctions waiver to Iran, a senior State Department official said, as indirect talks between Washington and Tehran on returning to the 2015 nuclear agreement entered the final stretch.

The waiver, which was rescinded by the Trump administration in May 2020, had allowed Russian, Chinese and European companies to carry out non-proliferation work at Iranian nuclear sites.

    The Southern Border?

I am no longer a smart man (if I ever was.) so please accept my apology if my post is misspelled or rude,

I could address just about all of them but it’s not worth the effort.

No idea what the beach comments means. Also Biden has been anything but weak. I can certainly argue with some policies and I’d rather some other democrat run due to age, but no offense these strike me as partisan talking points because they just aren’t correct.

    .

I’d prefer two other candidates too, and I’d consider voting for Nikki Haley if she were the Republican candidate. But Biden and Trump are too different beasts. Trump has more baggage than possibly any president in history and is arguably the most unfit to serve in history.

No idea what this is referring to.

The president’s own party rarely calls him out, Republican or Democrat. Republicans mostly didn’t even call out is crazy crap like election denialism.

All politicians lie, to a degree, but Trump may be the biggest pathological liar I have ever seen, inside or out of politics. I don’t recall Biden being particularly abnormal in this regard compared to other politicians. The fact that you equate the two shows that clearly you get your information from other places than I do.

Mostly agree but I think the Inflation Reduction act was mostly good legislation providing necessary investments. Between that, infrastructure and chips act I’d say these are his biggest accomplishments.

This seems to me to be greatly exaggerated. Biden admin did loosen up some restrictions on Iran to lower the price of oil, which seems to have worked.

The biggest issue is we keep flip flopping policy. Obama negotiates a deal, Trump reverses coarse and Biden reverses course. I suspect we would have been better off if we had gone one way or the other.

The border is a black mark for Biden, but I am not sure how much of it is due to Biden specifically and how much is just our terrible immigration system.

I suspect you are a smart man and certainly not rude but I kind of wonder about the breadth of your information sources.

I’m not going to let you get away with it: what Biden lies (plural!)? You don’t have to be smart (though you don’t seem dumb) to recognize that for every lie Biden may have said, Trump has said at least 2,000!

You are criticizing Biden because he didn’t defend the ME? Wow
And don’t look now but US oil exports are at an all time high. Some energy crisis.
