You're taking the D part of D.O.G.E a little too literally

So basically Trump created an "advisory board". They don't have a real position thus they have no power.

The redundancy in federal programs and redundancy with federal/ state crossover programs is wide spread. Add in runaway entitlements to the equation and we have a path to cutting federal spending by in and around 30%. Musk and Ramaswamy are the perfect architects for the task.

The left needs to get over their obsession with a massive inefficient government.

Just have to look at campaign spending to highlight the difference in philosophy on spending. The Trump campaign did better with less. One campaign also ended with a surplus, the other a deficit- very telling.

LOL. No, it's not wild conjecture to say you can't cut the fed budget by 30% without causing harm to people and the economy.

    Nay.

I don't expect the left to get over their obsession with a massive inefficient government; so, no disappointment.

Sorry, they're not going to cut the budget by 2 trillion, though they may well increase the budget deficit by 2 trillion.

Government administration is small. Almost all of the budget is defense and social program transfers.

The federal government employs over 2 million civilian workers. In 2023, the number of civilian employees in the federal government was about 2.87 million.

    Prophetic…

Someone on Trump’s team is already annoyed, anyway…

“He’s behaving as if he’s a co-president and making sure everyone knows it,” one of the people said of Musk.

“And he’s sure taking lots of credit for the president’s victory. Bragging about America PAC and X to anyone who will listen. He’s trying to make President Trump feel indebted to him. And the president is indebted to no one,” this person added.

The second person said that Musk has an “opinion on and about everything,” and that he shares them so forcefully that he’s begun to pester Trump insiders.

“He wants to be seen as having say in everything (even if he doesn’t),” this source said.

Elon Musk may already be overstaying his welcome in Trump’s orbit

Musk already said people should prepare for hardship if Trump is elected and enacts his budget cutting… it’s really nice to hear that from the world’s richest man who won’t be harmed at all — Will probably do better, actually. I don’t know why people are trying to argue with you that their plans will cause pain across America, co-president Musk already bragged that it would.

Well I know how to do basic math and I know you can't cut $2 trillion from the yearly budget without causing a great deal of economic hardship. Even Musk knows that.

    Dummyrats:

"If you aint Dummyrat, you stupid!"

Even Trump--the guy who just single handedly destroyed their corrupt people robbing political machine, and Elon Musk, who's only put more crafts in space than NASA in a fifth of the time, managed to succeed with a non-fossil fueled automobile where thousands b4 him failed, and managed to out influence the rest of big tech...

Tools, next to brilliant minds like Doh! Biden n sKamala!

We're soooooo stupid, that even a Billion dollars, and every famous person celeb with a platform going to bat for sKams and wagging their fingers at us, telling us how hunky dory everything is, couldn't cure us of our epidemic of stupidity. In fact, we just got stupider.

LMAO! at the smug, arrogant elitist party of yesteryear.

NB: yall are the cancer. We're just hoping our 'cure' such as it us, is enough.

But at least we're not actively seeking to advance the cancer.

Doesn’t change what I typed. Government is about 10% of the budget.

62% of the budget is direct transfers of social programs
    16% is defense
    12% is interest
    90% of the budget
    10% is running the government
