Another way to look at it is we’ve won 3 of the last 5. :)

Eh, I don't know what to think. On one hand we seem to be going after the same transfers we "don't want to get into bidding wars over," but I also think it's possible we kick the tires and then pass on potential problems. Then again we took head cases like Mazzcua so once again I don't know.

I will say all the handwringing over portal players from big schools like Bama and others seems silly. Our Georgia transfers have basically sucked and for all the clamoring about fsus portal team last year their studs came from Arizona, Albany, Oregon, mich state etc.

Guess the point of the rambling is that who knows? Speaking in definitive terms like we do know isn't it though.

Take all the $$$$ you’ve been sending to the UAA annually and redirect it to said NIL collective. Problem solved. It’s coming, some (obviously outside the UAA) are already pushing this strategy. Eventually it will all likely be one big pile of $$$$, instead of 2 like it is now.

$20? If you really loved the Gators you'd turn tricks for NIL.

We have the money. We also are trying to take the right guys with the right attitudes and build the culture in the program. That means you don't take every guy looking for the highest buck. That is what we are. Will it work out? Billy better hope so.

When asses aren’t in the seats and eyes aren’t watching the tv, the money the sport generates will suffer. Not talking about boosters.

Now you’re talking about the sport or UF? What’s going on with the sport is a whole other issue. Our season tickets are still being sold, and our tv deals are already set for the next decade.

What the UAA will spend on the stadium is not related to NIL. NIL is totally separate and not part of UAA. And I understood the stadium renovation project was going to cost $300 million, but could be wrong about that.

Florida alumni and fans have plenty of money to spend on NIL, if they want to. The money is definitely there, if they chose to spend it. Based on what we are hearing, they choose not to heavily invest in NIL.

The woman who invented Spanx cares more about football than our big money boosters. Fine with me. It's their money.

Saw where she said she’d match all other donations dollar for dollar. That’s a pretty significant commitment not many would be willing to make.

Well, to put it into perspective , the minimum wage at McDoanlds that FsU grads earn doesn’t allow them to contribute much to NIL so her marching $ for $ isn’t too big a deal.

The rich throw money around for a while, but then tire of it. The way they are wired, if they aren't making money, they eventually move on.

What are the businesses in Gainesville doing to contribute? The higher the rate of success the more people show up to games. The more people that flood Gainesville on game day the more money those businesses generate. Has FV approached the local business community about contributions?

    In my head--- UF
UF is in the $9 million range. Znot enough

If you have limited income maybe not saying ‘ridiculous’ isn’t the way to weigh in.

Biz round gnv doesn’t do so great when the team isn’t… so they don’t have extra money to cough up. A few places have closed in the last year. But yes- it looks like Spurriers and a few other places are participating in the collective
