When a coach is struggling to find wins, or when their team losses a big game like LSU and Clemson, do coaches know the extent of the heat? I've always thought coaches and maybe even players refrain from any forms of criticism but instinctively they must have some idea. I know and agree, you can only control what you can control and if you allow the criticism to get to you it can negatively impact.
Going into the season I'm sure a lot of the players knew very little was expected from this team as in wins. But after this first loss and the way it was lost, there is an avalanche of criticism. Being curious people, do players still search the web? Do friends reveal? And for that matter does Scott S avoid negative press and GC? Just curios as to what ya'll think.
PS, this team will bounce back this week and play super hard and smarter.

34, IMO yes, they do. Players and Coaches want to know the thoughts of the fan base. IMO.

Do they post? Some do I imagine under monikers we do not recognize.

Head coaches, probably very little, but I like to think the "Pirate" may have given his fan bases hell under a different name.

Is this a serious question? Of course they know. The players know as well. Kids access the internet and social media constantly.

That's why all the negativity is so damaging.

Herbstreit is lighting up OSU's fans (online ones, at least) as much as I am sure LSU, Clemson and UF's are. WE, however, have less reason to be depressed than those.

Absolutely yes and it has a negative impact on the program. There’s a lot less slowed on gc but other platforms it’s 100 times worse.

iMO most coaches don’t really care what the fans think after a loss or a win! They do care about what is fixable or wasn’t after a loss or a win! There are no perfect games and that can lead to melt downs if a team thinks they must be perfect to win. Ask Meyer about trying to achieve perfection. Most coaches coach for execution of a play or plays. Most fans are in favor of execution. But only if it involves head coaches or coaching staff. I remember John McKay in an interview after the Buccaneers lost a game. He was asked “How do you feel about the execution of your team?” He replied. “I am all for it!” So there you have it! Fans are down in the pit when their team loses and are up to almost the highest heaven when they win! No I don’t believe that Head Coaches listen to fans. Or media people. They listen to the people who sign their pay checks. We all do or should. My Grandfather and my Father who were both of the Hebrew religion always taught me to never ever bet on ball games! Because (as they taught me) the ball bounces funny!

Probably doesn't help when a kids brother tweets out, even if it was a joke, that Etienne should go play for prime.

Why doesn't big bro say something like, " if I had some eligibility left, I'd go play for coach prime" instead he brings questions on his brother for no reason.

So now there are rumors and tweets to insinuate Etienne is sitting out the year to transfer. If his brother never sends that tweet, is Trevor having to address any rumors this week?
