It's hard to believe he wasn't deemed worthy of playing time when the season started but has been our standout at 2 positions when we have played our best defense (not saying our secondary is outstanding).
Probably the toughest task the OL had all season. Mississippi is excellent rushing the passer and against the run. Especially tough with Lagway's injury. The first half the OL did well. The 3Q was rough, Mississippi handled the OL. The OL came back with a solid 4Q. All in all, I'd say they were just OK. Some good, some bad. I think it would have been much more positive if Lagway had his normal movement skills. The DL was excellent again. Banks and Sapp are establishing themselves as dominate players. I saw Slackman make a play! He had a good rush fom left end on a 3rd down. Dart had to roll hard to the sideline and basically threw it away.
I think the OL has been good since Waites stopped playing RT. The DL has done a complete 180 since September. They've gone from bad to good.
Agreed. The Waites experiment has not succeeded. Past injuries notwithstanding. Time to move on from him. He has only one more year and he must play lights out in order to see the field at all.
