You wouldn’t date Bob? Why? Are you transphobic? You are not very good at your attempts to differentiate Bob from your wife. Your own words give you away. You are trying to change the parameters of the discussion. I didn’t say anything about you dating Bob in my scenario. I said the bias you demonstrated against ugly women when you got married due solely to your personal appearance preferences is no different than the bias Tim demonstrates against Bob due solely to Tim’s personal appearance preferences. Apples to apples my friend.

You are the bigotry police? Lol.
In your world, I’m pretty much a bigot to many types. The self-righteous libbies I avoid the most though.

Do you hold the same standards for whom you date as those who would say serve as a check out clerk at a grocery store? Your attempt to make all standards for all situations the same is silly and illogical. Just because the my standards for a cashier are different than my dating standards doesn't make me a a bigot. Different standards for different things aren't double standards. And my standards for a cashier is presentable, helpful, and efficient. Gender plays zero role when it comes to whom I want as a cashier. It does when it come to whom I date. That doesn't make me transphobic.

Being transphobic would be choosing not to have a man in a dress check you out at a grocery store because he's wearing a dress. That wouldn't bother me at all, as long as he meets all my other cashier standards.

If the shoe fits....is it religious bigotry to avoid a Disney female employee wearing a hijab because you think she is Muslim? Yes or no?

You are not good at logic. Let’s test your theory by word exchange:
If that answer is yes, then avoiding Bob because she ( I don’t misgender people) is carrying an ax is bigotry against lumberjacks.
If that answer is yes, then avoiding Bob because she is wearing a snorkel is bigotry against scuba divers.
If that answer is yes, then avoiding Bob because she is wearing a Trump hat is bigotry against Americans.
If that answer is yes, then avoiding Bob because she is wearing an ugly pant-suit is bigotry against Hillary Clinton.
    The list is endless
How about I am avoiding Bob’s ugly pant suit because I don’t want to end up dead like all the other people who showed displeasure with Hillary….or the millions of other reasons that exist.

No.it is not bigotry to avoid people.
I have made the case that it is actually wise and self-preserving to be judicious in our interactions.
I think it unwise to associate with people who have an increased chance to be mentally unstable.

I held all people I dated to the same standards. I hold my friends to the same friend standard, which is different than the date standard. If you want to interact with my young children, I have a standard for that too. If I am going to eat at your restaurant—-guess what? I have a standard for that. I discriminate against restaurants based upon taste. I am a bastard!. Just because I let the person at Publix check out my food does not mean they get to babysit my kids or sleep in my bed naked. Are we clear?

You're starting to get it. You're allowed to avoid whomever you wish, for whatever reason. And if you want to be bigoted against MAGA, then yes, avoid people wearing Trump hats. But that would be just as wrong as avoiding Bob for wearing a dress in my opinion.

As for as scuba divers with snorkels, lumberjacks with axes, not going to run into many unless you're near a body of water for divers, and a forest for lumberjacks. And if you were near water, why would you avoid scuba divers? Do they present some sort of fear for you and your family? Lumberjacks with an axe have a weapon, but in a forest, doing their jobs, probably not have to worry. In your home, perhaps a different story, and maybe you do have a reason to avoid one, lest you want to end up on the evening news.

For the pantsuit comment, Hillary isn't a group of people. She's one person. You are welcome to avoid her if you wish.

That's fine. Your right to hold different people to different standards. But if you avoid a group of people based on a characteristic, then that's bigotry. Especially if the group of people you avoid are a protected class.

Once again, for the umpteenth time, if we change Bob into a woman, same dress, but she's wearing a hijab underneath that covers her head, would it be religious bigotry if someone avoided her because they thought she was a Muslim? Interesting that I've asked this question several times, and nobody has responded.

It’s an easy question for people to answer if they’re not bigots. I weigh in with a yes. Expectations of an answer from O&B are wasted.

Of course I know. Apparently everyone but you knows it’s a continuum that emerges from a person’s genetic makeup. Now shhhhh!

Hmmm, maybe the snorkel dude is just quirky. Maybe you think it’s a snorkel but it’s actually a sexual aid used by lesbians. Maybe the Ax dude is going to a BLM riot. The fact is, you don’t know. But you will make decision regardless. You judged the person on their appearance. Now for the bigoted part: if your definition of bigoted includes your aversion to dating ugly chicks, than we understand each other and I agree with most of your points, with the caveat that your definition of bigoted is not mine. By the way, why do you assume a man wearing a costume at Disney is trans? You refer to Bob as “he”. You have some explaining to do…

Ooooh. A continuum. Sounds so scientific and authoritative. This is what you just called being gay and being transgender:

I figured you’d look it up and it still be over your head. Sorry but this is just a message board, not a special ed class.
