You are correct. I can’t think about the black family’s feeling when a white family turns away from them. I have never seen it happen. I have never heard about it happening. Your ask is akin to inquiring how I feel when I see a unicorn shove his horn up the butt of a leprechaun. My moral compass is not altered by hypotheticals. I judge Princess Bob by his choices, not his immutable characteristics. And…..once again you demonstrate a lack of ability to draw the line of logic between an assertion and a conclusion. You assert (correctly) that I do not want my 5 year old daughter interacting with Princess Bob, but then you conclude (incorrectly) that I hate Princess Bob. You fail to connect the line of logic. There is no correlation between hate and my moral compass. My compass has a R and a W. It does not have an H. You and I are permitted to have different moral compasses. I don’t hate you because of it. #America.

Your compass describes a straight line no wonder you’re so horrible lost. Evolved people have a E W N and S and explore all parts of it every day.

    Sucks to be you.

You do realize the term “moral compass” is a metaphor, right? If you explore your morality everyday, can you truly say you have actual morals? Seems like those explorations would be more like whims.

Damn it! You didn’t post rules for the contest so I will make second guess. I’m sticking to the dress theme because I think I’m on to something. Here we go:
One is a man in a dress and the other is a man who sniffs the hair of little girls wearing a dress. I THINK I NAILED IT!! Did I win this time? This is so exciting…..

I'm not just nice to his face. I genuanly felt for the kid. He is obviously struggling.

I dont keep my 12 year old son from him. But my once small daughters at Disney would have been a different story.

Biases and concerns do not automatically equal bigotry. It's what you do with those biases and concerns.

If, in spite of my biases and concerns, I still see the person as equal to me and still see the person as someone in need of love and kindness, I do not consider that even in the same neighborhood as bigotry.

I genuanly felt for this young person and wanted them to feel loved. If thats bigotry to some, then so be it.

Message board talking points dont prove anything either way.

Again, frequent readers of this board will know that my best friend, someone who has been like a brother is literally dealing with this with his own child. I love her dearly.

Jesus said TRUE religion was looking after widows and orphans. So in that way I feel my faith is part of it, but yes being kind should just be a staple of a decent society. (And my wife is much better at such things than me too lol :D)

Just because you never experienced something, must mean it's a unicorn? I suggest trying this tactic next time you are in court. "Your Honor, I know the evidence my opposition and their client presented, but I have never personally experienced any of it. Therefore, I consider their claim to be a unicorn shoving his horn up the butt of a leprechaun and ask the court to dismiss all evidence, and the case!" Please try it. We all love stories of lawyers and their follies in court.

As for evidence, one in four minority workers report being discriminated against in the work place. 42% of all American workers have personally experienced or seen discrimination in action. Black owned businesses are also twice as likely to be turned down for a loan or a credit card. Then there's the story of the black homeowners who removed the "blackness" from their house and saw the value rise by over 50%. You mean to tell me that just because you haven't personally experienced it, there has never been a case of a white family turning away from a store or shop because a black person was working there?!? There have certainly been plenty of cases of "shopping while black," and I'm sure there are plenty of cases of people refusing to shop because of someone in the store who is black.

I also never said you hate the trans man. But you do fear him on some level. Why else would you not want your 5-year old around a man like this if he didn't represent something you feared? And hate is often a byproduct of fear, and hate leading to fear is more than something Yoda once said. Maybe your kids pick up on your fear? Maybe they don't? But it's been my experience, kids more often than not do, and for kids, things they fear often become things they hate.
