Bigotry in my eyes would be being unkind or treating that person different than anyone else at the door.

I would not, because I would not want my kids to learn that behaviour. I can still not want him influencing my kids. And yes, every person you come in contact with who leaves an impression does indeed influence your kids, even if only a small amount.

What you are saying is basically that anything short of 100% acceptance and biy in is bigotry.

If you had seen a guy in a dress as a kid, would you be any different today? I doubt it. You guys are the ones who point to biology being so deterministic, and if it is, then what are you worried about? A man in a dress isnt going to make your kid feel anything that isnt already natural to them, and it wont confuse them at all. How could it? You say boys want to play with trucks and girls want to wear dresses when they are very young, because thats nature. If you think otherwise, and that seeing a boy in a dress could confuse them, you are basically agreeing with the liberal and lefty take on gender being fluid.

Declaring that they can't be at the door is treating them differently due to them being a member of a group.

No, I am saying that telling a person that they can't have a job near your kids because they are trans is bigotry. Because it is.

Nobody would argue that the phrase "I don't mind black people, I just don't want my kids to learn behavior from them and I don't accept them, so just keep them away from my kids" is anything but racism and, in turn, bigotry. You just are justifying bigotry here now because you don't like this group.

The 70s was a time hardly out of the times of Jim Crow.
You are quite the racist. This is how it works right? I’m trying my hand at this liberal thing.

There's a lot of weird stuff going on at Disney, but I see more disagreeable behavior outside the park than in it (or at least as it pertains to the employees - some patrons are nuts, cheats, and cranks). For the record, I'm not a fan of what is described in the OP, but it's not likely to keep me from visiting a Disney park in the near future. Disney's right to do all that and more. I don't see any of it as dangerous like others have suggested, just stuff that's *not for us.*

Why don't we show outrage like this when people are cussing at "their" football team for not getting a first down?
Why don't we show outrage like this when our leaders act like fools? (instead, we like to point out how bad the *other* guy's party is)
Why don't we show outrage like this when parents are a bit over the top at youth sporting events?
Why don't we show outrage like this when we see somebody talking disrespectfully to somebody else in a public setting?

I understand that sometimes we do, but so many times we're oddly selective on what we focus on. Just my two bits.

17+ page thread over a dude in a dress. Did any of you ever listen to Twisted Sister or Kiss or any of those bands from the 80's?

No we went to see the spring. Sometimes there was a naked guy there. Sometimes he wore a loin cloth. Sometimes no one was there. Springs are cool.

That is you making stuff up. I dont think any of them are pedophiles. You are projecting that onto me.

I just want my kids to not be influenced by an aspect of their culture. (Men in a dress) just like I dont want them listening to chauvinistic hip hip lyrics.

You can keep saying it but it is 100% not true. I think the pedo angle is weird and have never correlated it with the trans culture.

Yes, I missed the point. Seeing a man wearing a dress isn't dangerous like a kid trying to drive at 5, or a 12-year old shooting a gun, or going to a XXX movie. I fail to see the equivalency. The Scots have been wearing kilts for generations. Should they be banned too? What about the TV show Bosom Buddies? Too far? Dress uniforms in Star Trek ok or no?

A 12-year old driving a car can kill someone. A kid seeing a guy wear a dress? What's the negative? Why the outrage?

Sorry, but you sound like a lot of bigots when they saw or see inter-racial couples. Yes, there are things that are age appropriate, but I fail to see how some else's sartorial style, assuming they are properly covered up, is so damaging to a kid. Again, it's OK to see a woman as a superhero or sports star, but a man as a princess is so damaging because....?

Damn right I missed the point. Maybe because your point is you're bigoted against trans men and I'm not?

I didn't say you said that. Just you want to treat them like they were (by forcing them to be nowhere near your children- which is something we only do to sexual predators).

You just want to treat them like they are. Like I said, that is bigotry.

I dont think hip hop will make my kid abuse a women, but I still dont want that stuff in his head.

Again. Projection. No one said it would make them anything. That isn't the only reason you protect your kids from things.
