The 6 week abortion ban will be costly come 2024. The draconian bills being passed by red supers is being broadcast on every left leaning news site. The lady from South Carolina was correct; the right is on the wrong side of this issue to voters. I don't understand why they are not only digging in but going further to the right. Kansas and Wisconsin both told everyone what the people want. Why not compromise and move on? We know the outcome of these mandates. If FL gets this on the ballot? You will bring out the left and single issue voters en masse. Why would knowingly mobilize the opposition? I do not get it. It's a loser.

UNF is a pretty respected in state pollster.

    but here’s another one.

Poll: Floridians sound off on 'Don't Say Gay Law,' immigration and more

    and another.
    https://www.sun-sentinel.com/2022/0...ed-over-new-parental-rights-dont-say-gay-law/

the only poll that said otherwise was months before the other ones, before positions were firmed up.

Slim Majorities of Voters Back Provisions of Florida’s ‘Don’t Say Gay’ Bill

It’s not a popular bill, sorry dude.

Florida just went more red than it ever has. Literally landslide. I’ll go with the vote. Not the poll…

the Dems also ran the worst candidate imaginable and have no ground game in the state. The state isn’t nearly 60-40 red, even the most optimistic Republican operatives don’t believe that…even if it does have a slight red lean.
But even if that weren’t true, a single policy can be disliked while someone’s overall platform can be popular. When a whole host of polls say the same thing you can either choose to accept it, or look for reasons not to, clearly you are doing the latter.
But I’ve said my peace and it’s time to get some sleep, others can take the flag if they like.

Abortion is between a woman, her doctor, and her God. Keep government out of it. No woman is out there aborting a full term viable fetus unless it is medically necessary for her and the fetus.

When these "kids" grow to be a product of their environment and go into an elementary school and kill innocent lives, you know those children that were their parent's entire lives, you'll want to kill them then. Meanwhile, many innocent lives are gone. I'm proactive, you are reactive.

If a pregnancy isn't wanted, I see it as being better for that possible child, and society as a whole, to allow that mother to end the pregnancy. What good is it for that child to have a "life" where they are unwanted, abused and or neglected by a parent and step parent?? In that respect, I seem to care more about that life than you do.

The fact that there are these bills where there is no thought to repercussions just shows you that it isn't a thoughtful law, it's a knee jerk reaction brought on by religious beliefs. If you want religious law, go move to Afghanistan.

And the fetus... forgot about that one. Someone needs to be the voice of the voiceless.

Yes, kill all of the kids who come from broken communities and/or families on the possibility that they may someday become a mass shooter. Brilliant stuff.

I hesitate to say policy positions are evil on their face, but this rationale is evil on its face. Killing all of the children because one of them may grow up to be evil.

Then why'd they get their asses kicked up and down the ballot?

LOL. You think the stock price being 50% down from when they announced this had nothing to do with them cancelling it? You are either extremely ignorant or just not smart enough to understand basic economics. Slanted articles lol. Holy crap, the hate is strong with you. Just to clarify, since Disney came out in against the "don't say gay" bill, DIS has fired their CEO, lost 4 Million subscribers and 50% of their stock value. Yeah, DIS is doing stellar! Yes, the theme parks are doing very well, especially in FL, so DIS should be thanking DeSantis for keeping Disney World open while Gavin shut down Disney land for almost a year longer. You are trying to carry Disney's water here, but it's a complete joke. Great cover for Iger though, lemming like you bought his BS.

A clump of cells does not equate to a child. Therefore is someone has a miscarriage:
"When a baby dies before 24 weeks of pregnancy, there is no legal recognition of his or her brief life, no birth or death certificate in the UK and many European countries." In the US most states don't require any certification at less than 20 weeks or 350gr. (12 oz)

Still going for the middle school title for false equivalencies? If the clump of cells is not recognized legally, then get government out of making a decision that the women should make.

Didn't realize we had this inside info on the board. Thanks for being an insider and sharing these decisions from Disney. Or do your conclusions simply confirm your bias? No way with stock prices down, laying off employees and the current business climate could have anything to do with this. Must be the Govenor that just won by nearly 20 margin points fault.

He signed the 6 week bill AFTER he was elected. He is attacking Disney AFTER he was elected. You think he would've done either if not elected?
