Nowhere in the bill does “Dont Say Gay” come up. It is about parental rights and what is taught to K-3rd. Don’t be so naive to think “Dont Say Gay” is some accidental innocent name given a bill about Parental Rights for K-3rd graders!

While Gay is never discussed. It does prohibit teaching on sexual orientation or gender identity for K-3rd. It is the only reference in the bill that the false narrative can be applied to. In the opening of the bill it foreshadows this section…

“3. Classroom instruction by school personnel or third parties on sexual orientation or gender identity may not occur in kindergarten through grade 3 or in a manner that is not age-appropriate or developmentally appropriate for students in accordance with state standards.”

It isn't K-3 anymore. And actually, I was incorrect. It's K-8 for the orientation/identity after Desantis signed the expansion. It's reproductive health that was restricted to 12th.

They didn't say the bill said don't say gay. They said that the bill they were referring to by bill number was the bill people had been talking about as the "don't say gay" bill. Which is an entirely factual statement. Even Ron DeSantis agrees.
