Which is exactly what Disney is suing for. Using the government to single them out and punish them for expressing their first amendment right. Good job for making their case. Win!

I am sure. From the one who makes accusations they can’t back up.

I never mentioned the word banned. You literally just proved my point. The mere mention of "books" automatically goes to the assumption of banning. I said OPTICS. You both took to defend a claim I never made. But you ASSUMED it was implied. In reality, I am referring to the DRAMA created by these Moms for Liberty types. At some point, it crosses over into the ridiculous. WOKE FATIGUE is what I call it.

And I will add for context why I consider myself middle of the road. I do not believe that trans athletes in either womens or mens should participate in sports of any kind. Amateur or pro. They should have their own division. I do not belong to any party as a whole.

I apparently missed the post that you had and was responded to by the post I quoted.

But you are defiantly one that thinks DeSantis is on the losing side of the issue. We disagree. Keep thinking most Floridians and Americans want this nonsense pushed on them. I absolutely could be wrong. But doubt it.

DeSantis just won Florida in a way never seen before!

I have some bad news for you. Outside of Florida is looked down upon. FLORIDA MAN is real and a real perception. Desantis looks like FLORIDA MAN as Governor. The perception is NOT favorable. You can't even point to any polls backing your claims. Maybe some put out by Turning Point but Desantis and his policies are NOT popular. Great. He won Fl. If you think that somehow translates on a national level, you have some rude awakenings in your future. Again, he cannot run from that 6 week abortion ban. That was the end of him. You think America is going to support a 6 week abortion ban? Seriously?

    I don’t point to polls. I point to results…

Get prepared for what you would consider "bad results". Will you deny that this "red wave" in 22 was held back by the Roe leak? How powerful is women's rights? Those are results. If it wasn't for Gerrymandering the House might even be blue. '22 was a huge failure for the GOP. What's changed? Even more culture wars. More woke propaganda. Let's attack trans kids. LOSER HANDS.

Kansas? Wisconsin? Abortion is the GOP waterloo. Your party could easily come to some agreeable compromises. BUT no...the GOP continues draconian measures in red states. Good luck with that. That fired burned you once but you didn't learn the lesson.

The 6 week abortion ban is what killed any chance that Desantis had of becoming POTUS. Even the Desantis fans know that. Whether they will admit it or not is a different issue

Looks like some republicans are backing off and hoping a 12 week ban is viewed as more palatable than a 6 week ban. I’ll admit it is certainly better, but prefer at least 15 weeks to give plenty of time.

The problem with these artificial times is that a woman's or fetus health doesn't follow a political agenda. For example this case of a fetus diagnosed with a fatal abnormality called Potter syndrome at 24 weeks. Because of the inhumane laws in Florida the treating physician wouldn't abort the fetus for fear or being imprisoned. The woman was forced to carry the fetus to term, knowing he would die shortly after birth, in fact 99 minutes after birth he died. The family incurred several thousand in medical bills to deliver a nonviable fetus. This on top of the emotional trauma of carrying to term, knowing the outcome, the family described like torture.

These laws are not about compassion for the unborn, they are designed to control women.

    That is INCREDIBLY disingenuous.

You attributed "books" to some type of DeSantis policy, you were not talking about Moms for Liberty because frankly that would be out of left field. Moms for Liberty has nothing to do with DeSantis policy.

You started the conversation somewhat reasonable.

Now you're just going completely off the rails.
