Once you win an election, you can do anything you want because its the 'will of the people' I guess

There's really nothing democratic about it, given how the state legislature is set up.

yes, the gloves are off and DeS is headed for a big loss in the courts. first the state case will get stayed and then Disney will win the federal case which will dismiss the state case and restore Reedy Creek authority

Four years from now Disney's theme parks will still be among the leading tourist destinations in Florida while Ron DeSantis will have left a legacy as a failed presidential candidate not unlike former Governors Scott Walker of Wisconsin and Rick Perry of Texas both of whom were at one time considered serious possibilities for the Republican presidential nomination.

What do you want and what were you expecting? For Ron DeSantis to bankrupt Disney?

Nobody wants that, not even Ron DeSantis.

It's democracy when Democrats have the power and it's not when Republicans have the power.

no, the system should not have allowed a petty tyrant like DeS to try and stifle the first amendment rights of so many. The legislature bowed before him and his big pot of federal covid funds that he bought loyalty with. we currently have an executive writing laws with no respect for their legality and the legislature rubber stamping them. that isn't how the system is supposed to work

there’s also a large hidden loss of revenue as other companies watch this and decide against investing in Fla without any kind of public announcement

What Meatball Ron really wants is to ride his war against Disney to the Republican nomination. Not going to happen. Although it probably will not make any difference to his supporters as @G8trGr8t pointed out there is a good chance that DeSantis will be humiliated in court by Bob Iger and Disney with the taxpayers of Florida footing the bill for the state's and possibly even Disney's legal fees.

Trump when he tweets for four years as President: "Everything he says is BS."

Trump when he tweets about DeSantis while campaigning against him: "Everything he says is gospel."
